Inspired by...

...a book, film or song...that's the theme of this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin', sponsored this time by the fabulous  Crafts and Me.
I think my card probably speaks for itself as to what the inspirational song is!
I used a Hampton Art wooden stamp that I've had for years, still love this cute image though! I stamped it with dark brown ink  onto cream dp, coloured the bells on his harness gold and glittered his nose dark red.  This was so quick to make, the background dp is really glittery and pretty, all I added was the ribbon, bells and berry cluster!
So glad you popped by today, hope to see you play along with us at Sweet Stampin'  this week  and there's plenty more inspiration from my lovely teamies to be seen by clicking here!
Have a lovely weekend

Spooktacular!

The new challenge starting at Creative Moments today has the optional theme of 'spooktacular'. I made my DT card using a fun smiling spider digital  image courtesy of Eureka Stamps, one of our fabulous sponsors for this challenge....he's not really scary but apologies to any arachnophobics who may drop in...in fact here's a warning that this post is very spider-heavy! To make the front of my card I printed the spider quite large, coloured his eyes and mouth and drew around him with a bright green copic, then cut him out, he's mounted onto a strip of acetate which is attached between the layers on the card, so he bounces about a bit. The purple digi paper was a freebie, can't remember where from. The background is black cardstock with die cut cobweb s and a few googly eyes attached,  I tore some small pieces of cardstock, coloured with the green copic and stamped the sentiments.
To make the inside I printed the spider in various sizes (the beauty of using digis!)  onto some blue/purple paper, then used a die cut web as a stencil, the eyes are drawn with a white gel pen. My granddaughters loved this card!

There's some more spooktacular fun to be enjoyed  over at Creative Moments so why not hop over and take a look? We'd love to have you play along with us this challenge and there are some lovely prizes to be won from our fab sponsors this time, Eureka Stamps and Dr Digi.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, have a great day!

East Wind Angel

Good evening, a quick post with a card I finally managed to finish...so many interruptions today! I used a beautiful image from the East Wind available here , to make a Christmas card. The L/O is a simple one using two pieces of metallic cardstock, one silver one blue, both embossed and arranged in a sunburst pattern. I die cut the image into a circle, allowing her wings to spread over the edges. I've coloured her with copics and added some delicate sparkle to her wings and hair with clear Wink of Stella. The sentiment is stamped and embossed.  It would have been quite quick to make if I hadn't had so many visitors today- but it was lovely to see them all.
Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely evening.

Fabulous Flowers at Fab 'n' Funky

Good morning, hope your week is going well. It's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, and a lovely one it is too! Hosted this week by our talented (and very busy!!) Wends who has picked the theme of 'Fabulous Flowers', of course flowery images and papers are acceptable but what she really wants to see are 'real' flowers...paper or fabric. This is the card I made for my granddaughters birthday, it's on Friday, only 2 more sleeps!!, and she'll be 7...excitement and anticipation has now reached fever pitch!
I chose this sweet Mo Manning image because it looks like Ruby with her long blond curls, also she loves 'girly dresses' and dressing up, I've used copics to colour and her dress is paper pieced. Papers and sentiment LOTV. I've added a couple of die cuts, afew pearls, a pretty organza ribbon and of course the flowers!  For more inspiration and to add your own floral creation please click here.
Our lovely Sponsor this week is Live and Love Crafts, sadly they are shutting up shop so a great opportunity to win some lovely stash before they're gone forever!
Thanks for visiting!

Spots and stripes at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning, there's much excitement over at Sweet Stampin' this week as our new challenge is sponsored by none other than
they're offering a generous £10 gift voucher for our lucky winner.
Who doesn't love these gorgeous stamps and digis!

The theme this week is spots and /or stripes , a lovely easy one with lots of scope.
To make my card I used one of my favourite ever LOTV images, Fairy Tiptoe, available here in rubber or here as a digi..
I already had the rubber stamp, but gave in to temptation and bought the digi as well (along with one or two others....) as I wanted a larger focal image for my design. I coloured her with copics and a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen on her wings. All the papers are andthe little stamped sentiment are also from LOTV.
Thanks for visiting today, it'd be great if you hopped over here to check out the Challenge blog and take a look at the gorgeous makes from my lovely teamies...and even better if you join  us, you never know, that lucky winner could be you! ...just remember to include some stamping on your entry!

have a lovely weekend

Use your dies and punches -Southern Girls #145

Good morning my lovely friends, followers and 'droppers in', hope your day has started well. I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Southern Girls, a lovely theme this fortnight and two fabulous sponsors! The theme is simple...use your dies and punches and the sponsors are Fairy Tangle Art and All Dressed Up, such gorgeous images from both of them. I was delighted to choose this beautiful Fairy Tangle image,Midsummer Dragonflies .....and really enjoyed colouring her with my copics. I used a Martha Stewart border punch, the  leaves and blue flowers are made from die cuts and the pink ones from punches. I used a magazine freebie stamp and die cut to create the dragonfly, his wings are made from acetate.
Please click here to be transported to the challenge blog, you'll be blown away by the fabulous creations of my teamies! Of course we'd love to have you play along so dig out those lovely  punches and  gorgeous dies and get creating!
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Christmas at Sweet Stampin'...Glitz and sparkle!

Hi, back again with my card for October's challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin', now I don't want to worry anyone but there are only two more challenges after this until Christmas!!! This time we'd like to see lots of lovely sparkle on your Christmas Creations.
I used a beautiful image from The Paper Shelter which I've coloured with copics and sparkle pens, there is lots of sparkle on her dress but can't get it to show in the photo! The ribbon is sparkly too...but guess what, that doesn't show either :( Image and papers matted onto glitter card and tiny gems added to the embossed background panel and dp.
Thanks for visiting today, there's some fabulous sparkly creations from my lovely teamies to be enjoyed over at the Challenge Blog, hope you're inspired to play along this month...we can't wait to be dazzled by your glitter and glitz!

Creative Moments ...Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater...

Good morning...can anyone tell me where last week went??? I blinked and it was gone! Now that IS scary....
The new challenge starting over at Creative Moments has the optional twist of 'Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater.'...this title made me laugh remembering how my daughter loved that nursery rhyme when she was small, it was the look of delight on her face when she shouted gleefully..'up the chimney he did SHOVE her!!!!
I used this great  image from Bugaboo, one of our lovely sponsors this month, it's called Silhouette skull tree and is available here. I printed out the image, then used distress inks to colour the background and Cosmic Shimmer ink to colour the eyes. The background DP is a freebie digi paper, don't know where from but I love it! The witch in the corner is  stamped, fussy cut and adhered with sticky pads and I added a couple of tiny laser cut pumpkins. Really quick and easy to make!
Our sponsors this challenge are BugabooCrafty Sentiments and My Stitch Back in Twine so a great opportunity to win some lovely digis ....remember the theme is optional, you can make anything you please!
Thanks for visiting!

Happy!

Good morning, There's a fun new challenge starting over at Fab 'n' Funky today, hosted by our lovely Jools who has set the theme of 'Happy'....the word happy must be visible on the front of your card. ...so loads of scope there! We're sponsored this week by the fabulous Bugaboo, who allowed the DT each to pick a digi. I chose to use this cute little elephant Peaches Balloons to make my card as it's my future DIL's birthday today and she loves elephants! The image is coloured with copics , loads of sparkle on the balloons.  The 'happy' die is Hero Arts.
Thanks for calling by today, don't forget to take a look at the Fab N Funky Challenge Blog., there's some great inspiration from the rest of Team Funky!
Have a lovely day

Sweet Stampin' - Babies

Back again with my DT card for our lovely new challenge at Sweet Stampin'...this week it's 'Babies' sponsored  this time by Freckled Fawn
Don't know why, but I always struggle with baby cards, I'm never that happy with the way they turn out and  it's not as if I don't like babies! My daughter often refers to me as 'the baby grabber'! Have to admit if there's a new baby in the family I don't like to share...I just love the feel and smell of them and their beautiful innocent little faces...irresistible!
I used a Mo Manning cutie to make my card, coloured with copics.
There's some lovely inspiration from the rest of the team over at the Challenge Blog, and we'd love to have you share your baby makes with us this week.

Have a great weekend

Crafty Calendar October Challenge

Good morning...first Saturday of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge at  Crafty Calendar and as it's October our theme is Halloween. We're sponsored this time by the fabulous All Dressed Up and the team were given some adorable images to play with...no scary cards from us this time! I chose to use this cute little chap, All dressed up for Mummy, he's so sweet!.
I coloured him with copics then fussy cut him. The big letters were cut on my sadly neglected cricut. I just added some spider web die cuts. Thanks for stopping by today, hope you'll hop across to  Crafty Calendar and join the fun!
Be back later!
