Photo Inspiration Challenge at Catch the Bug

This week's challenge at Catch the Bug has a beautiful photo to inspire you, here's what I made...

A simple layout to showcase the lovely image,  For You From Me Flower, I printed it twice and fussy cut the main hydrangea flower, shaped it with a ball tool and adhered over the image using Pinflair glue for dimension. I used copics to colour and inked all the distressed edges.
There's plenty more inspiration to be seen over at Catch the Bug.
Thanks for stopping by
Enjoy the weekend

Happy dance

Good morning, over at Sweet Stampin' we're celebrating the International Day of Dance (29th April-which incidentally  is my 47th Wedding Anniversary too!) so our optional theme is 'dance'.
I took the opportunity to ink up this cute stamp from Stamping Bella, thought it was time she came out of the packaging! I coloured with copics and paper- pieced her dress, for once I have the matching die so no fussy cutting today! The sentiment came with the stamp.
My teamies have created some lovely dance related cards to inspire you, so please hop over and take a look! We'd love you to play along...you don't need to follow the theme, although it would be great if you do, just please remember to include stamping!

Crafty Catz Challenge #459 - ATG with optional twist- Add a sentiment

Good morning,  this is the first of a few scheduled posts, I'll be back home in a week, until then, apologies for no visits and no comments.
This week's challenge is up and running at Crafty Catz, it's our fabulous Janette's turn to host and choose the optional theme, which is...Add a sentiment. We are sponsored by Cute as A Button

Cute As A Button Stamps

The DT were given some cute images to play with , I chose to use Social Susan and made a card for my eldest granddaughters birthday, like most young girls she's constantly messaging her friends!  I  made the LOL background with circle dies and hand cut the Ls adhered them to the black card base and cut around the second L . The image is coloured with copics, fussy cut and inserted between the letters. I printed the speech bubble elements that are part of the image in a larger size, coloured them and adhered them in place. The sentiment in the middle of the die cut stars is part of a rubber stamp set, CC Designs -Teen Scene. Olivia loved this card!
My lovely teamies have been busy creating some amazing cards this week so please hop over and take a peek, remember our challenge is anything goes , you don't have to follow the theme so there's no excuse not to play along :))

Crafty Catz #458 - Optional Theme- All creatures Great and Small

Good morning, it's time for another challenge at Crafty Catz, is it just me or do the weeks seem to be flying by faster than ever? It's Easter already, seems like it's only days since Christmas, although I'm well ready for Spring, the weather has been beautiful here for the last few days and it seems as if it's finally arrived!

Our Challenge this week is hosted by our fabulous Jac, and she's picked a great theme for us...'all creatures great and small'. Our sponsor for this challenge is Beccy's Place.
Visit My Online Store

I was lucky enough to choose an image to use for this challenge, thanks Beccy, and I chose this fun and fabulous image from The Three Tenors Digital Set. Look at these three little guys singing their hearts out for all to enjoy!!!
I coloured the image with my copics, then used a circle die to cut out. I then cut around the cats' paws so I could pop the 'moon' behind my embossed wall and have the cats stand on the top. I found a scrap of starry DP for the night sky and added some die cut musical notes. Computer generated sentiment.
There are, as always, some wonderful cards from the rest of the DT to be enjoyed over at Crafty Catz, we'd love to see what you create too, so why not play along...remember the theme is optional, anything goes at Crafty Catz!
I wish you all a very happy Easter

A day without a cocktail....

Hi, I'm back again with my second card today...it's Humour Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug, so as April 14th was Moment of Laughter Day, I made this card featuring Scarlette, hope it makes you smile!
I'm a bit later than intended with this post as I have all three of my granddaughters for the day, they're staying the night too...not calling it a sleepover as the youngest, Emily...not quite 5 years old, is MEGA excited to be here with her big cousins...not sure if any of us will be doing a lot of sleeping....
Have been to the park to try to wear her out a bit but her energy levels remain unabated!
Wish me luck!
Chris

Cosy Christmas

Good morning, it's time for our regular Christmas theme challenge at Fab'n' Funky, once a month we have a Christmas theme allowing us to get ahead with our festive makes! It's anything goes as long as it's Christmas!
I used a lovely Woodware Stamp (FRS709 Cosy Stocking) previously untouched by human hand...or ink! It's quite a large stamp so I kept my design very simple. I used my copics to colour and added a piece of twine and two little wooden pegs over those drawn in the image. Sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp.
There's some lovely inspiration from my teamies over on the Challenge Blog, so why not hop over and take a peek! We'd love to have you play along too... we're always looking for more inspiration!

Good morning, my first card today is for the new challenge at Crafty Catz. This week  it's our lovely Ginny's turn to host and she would like to see your funny cards! As our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Bugaboo it wasn't hard for the DT to follow her theme!

I made my card using the wonderful Gus Tidbits At My Age, resplendent in his carefully co-ordinated beachwear! He does come with a great sentiment but I chose to use my own!
A visit to Crafty Catz this week is sure to put a smile on your face when you see what my lovely teamies have created for you. We'd love to have you play along with this fun challenge too funny cards would be great but as always the theme is optional...anything goes!

April Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning, over at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' we have a new Challenge for you,  this month the optional theme is 'Monochromatic', the DT all used the theme but it isn't necessary to follow it if you prefer not to! Personally, I love the look of monochromatic cards so a great theme for me.

I made a z fold card base from kraft card. The  white cardstock  is embossed with a falling snow embossing folder( I love this ef and use it loads but unfortunately have no idea of the make!) which is matted onto  coppery brown card.   My image is an old favourite from Mo Manning...I love this sweet fairy and again I've used it loads, don't think of coloured it brown before though! The sentiment is from a PB set of stamps.  I die cut with a circle die, inked the edges and matted it onto the same brown cardstock.  I added two die cut snowflakes to finish.

My teamies have created some stunning cards to inspire you this month, please hop over HERE to take a look and to add your own fabulous creations...it's never too early to start on your Christmas cards, and you can make anything you like as long as it's Christmas related!

April - Anything goes at Catch the Bug Challenges

Weekly Challenge!

Hi, I'm back again with my card for this month's Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug.

I coloured up this cute image, Izzybee in shades of blue and brown, adding glossy
accents to her balloon and some white dots to her dress.  The pretty blue and white DP was a magazine freebie, I matted it onto kraft, I added a couple of brads (trying to use them up!) A stamped sentiment and a tiny button.
As always loads of lovely inspiration to be enjoyed by visiting the Challenge Blog!
Hope to have you join us this week.

April Challenge at Crafty Calendar

Good morning, first Saturday of April, that mean's it's time for our new challenge at Crafty Calendar.
This month we have an easy peasy recipe challenge for you...
1 ribbon
2 or more designer papers
that's it...said it was easy, didn't I!
We have two lovely sponsors this month -Oddball Art

To make my card I used some Oddball digis I already had Winnie and Bookstacks. I did cannibalise these a bit, the girl was sitting on a stool and the bookstack was taller! Coloured both images with copics, fussy cut and sat the girl on the books. 2 pieces of DP and a black and white striped image were used along with a die cut tag with a stamped sentiment.
We would love to have you join us for this challenge, please hop over to see what the rest of the team have created to inspire you this month.

Crafty Catz Challenge #456 - Optional Twist -Use your dies

Good morning,  the weekend is nearly here, lets hope it gets a bit warmer than it's been during the week, it felt like winter again!
This week's challenge at Crafty Catz  has the optional twist of 'use your dies' picked by our lovely Dianne who is hosting this week and we're sponsored for this by the fabulous Digi Doodle Studios.

I used a sweet image , Little Love Birds, generously given by our sponsor, coloured with copics and cut using a stitched rectangle die. I matted this onto dark blue cardstock, which is placed onto a white stitched edge square with the top left corner die cut to show the dark blue card beneath. I used some tiny pink die cut hearts to echo the blossom in the image and added a die cut sentiment. This card will come in useful next time I'm in a panic because I've forgotten a friend/ family wedding anniversary!

My teamies have been busy with some beautiful creations using these sweet Digi Doodle images, just hop over to Crafty Catz to take a look. Remember you don't have to use the twist if you choose to play along!
Thanks for visiting,
Hope you have a great weekend.

Just add ink!

Hi, running a bit late today...just one of those mornings! Seemed to to take ages to get anything done, probably nattering on the phone for ages didn't help much :)
My card today is for our new challenge at Fab'n' Funky, it's my turn to host this week and I chose the theme of 'just add ink'...so ink pads, stamps stencils, markers...the possibilities are endless :))
I've had this gorgeous Lavinia stamp for a while and thought it about time to show it the ink. I made the background by applying Distress oxides directly to a large silicone 'splat' stamp (Inkylicious) and spritzing it with water to mix the inks a bit, then splatting it directly onto white cardstock, then stamping the image with Versafine Clair on top. I added some bling and a sentiment stamp.
I kept the card design very simple, placing my image in the aperture of the embossed black cardstock.
Please hop over to Fab'n'Funky to see the fabulous creations from my lovely teamies, then I hope you'll be inspired to play along!

Enjoy your day
