Crafty Catz #491 Optional twist- Favourite colours

Good morning, last day of January and time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz, this week our lovely host is Christine who has chosen the theme of 'Favourite colours'- optional as always! This week we are sponsored by Morgan's Artworld.

The sponsor generously gave the DT some sweet images to create with, I used Stardust Digi Stamp 2, couldn't resist the look on her face...now where have I seen that before?? Oh yes, 5 year old Emily whenever parents/grandparents are being unreasonable!
I coloured the fairy with copics, lots of sparkle on her wings and dress- fussy cut her and popped her onto my kinda CAS card.  The colours are better IRL...again could not get a good light to photograph.
This little cutie has proved very popular with the team, please hop over to Crafty Catz to see what the've created for you this week!
Thanks for stopping by, have a good day

Good morning,  Monday is 'Anything But A Card Day at Catch the Bug -here are some little money holder tags I made at Christmas- they're a great way to use up scraps. I tie these tags to gifts of chocolate or toiletries for those 'hard to buy for' teens, they always appreciate cash!

featuring Snowman Block Set

Featuring Snowflake Penguin

and showing how the flap lifts to find the little pocket inside.
Thanks for visiting today, have a great week.

Crafty Catz Challenge #490 Optional Twist -Flower Power

Good morning, it's my turn to host the challenge over at Crafty Catz this week, which means I get to choose a theme for the DT to use (and anyone else who wants to of course!) I picked 'flower power' as our fabulous sponsor for this week is none other than BUGABOO-

BUGABOO
-and I do love Jodie's beautiful floral images!

I coloured up the gorgeous Sketchy Floral Teapot and matted it onto my simple layered design. , the sentiment is a stamp and I added a flower shaped button to finish.
I used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday(Sketch 175)

The Crafty Catz girls have made some beautiful cards using Jodie's digis, so please do hop on over HERE to take a look- and to add your own gorgeous entries of course.
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a lovely weekend

A hug in a glass! Cheers!

Hi, back again with a very different card from earlier! This one is for Humour Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug. Yesterday, 21st January was Hugging Day (shame if you missed it) so I made this card to celebrate ...sounds like a great idea to me!

The featured image is Scarlette Wine A Hug In A Glass, I've coloured her with copics and added glossy accents to her glass. The two added wine glasses are made with a freebie stamp from a magazine,  coloured, fussy cut then stuck firmly down and covered with more glossy stuff.
'Liquid therapy' is a stamp, 'Cheers' a die cut which I've cut several times and layered together and again covered with the gloss.

Apologies for the shadow on the bottom of the photo, didn't notice it until I finished writing this post!

Thanks for stopping by

Add a doily at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, hope your week is going well...mine is going fast! I don't seem to have done anything much (apart from normal boring housework and cooking!) and it's the middle of the week already. At least the weather's been dry, the fence is mended-hooray!- and I had a nice  walk in the sunshine down to the library yesterday. Our nearest library is closed for building work and refurbishment, which is good news- they can't be planning to close it, so I walked to the next nearest which is only about 2 miles...and it's downhill! Being an avid reader and not a fan of electronic reading devices, give me a real book anyday, I'd be lost without the libraries (or very poor!).
Anyway onto today's card...over at Fab'n' Funky our lovely N-Eva has picked the theme of 'add a doily', have to admit it's not something I think of doing very often and I have loads of them! I made a little circular rocker card and tucked the doily between the layers. The sweet little fairy is Stamping Bella, she's coloured up with copics, loads of glitter on her wings. I attached two small bows with brads, added some tiny die cut flowers with pearl centres. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with white EP.
Well, if you're like me and have loads of doilies lurking around neglected, why not hop over to Fab'n' Funky and see how the team have used theirs. Hope you choose to play along and share your ideas too.
Thanks for visiting, I'll be back later today with another card.

Best foot forward!

Good morning, hope your day started bright and sunny...we've been forecast some dry weather this week which will make a lovely change! I'm hoping that the next couple of days at least are dry so we can replace the fence panels that the wind last week removed for us! Fortunately, it was the end of the garden that's fenced off to stop Mathilda killing all the grass and trying to climb over to next door to sort out Edgar the pug, her arch enemy. Don't know what he says to her in dog language but she doesn't like one little bit! So fingers crossed for the dry weather.

Today we have a new challenge starting over at Sweet Stampin', we'd like to see albums, journals, frames, keepsakes etc. not cards! Some stamping to be included of course!

I was finding it hard to motivate myself after Christmas, too busy being lazy, and couldn't think what to make so I trawled through my stamps hoping for something to jump out and bite me! I found the gorgeous steampunk boot stamp and decided to make a journal page with it. I love a bit of steampunk...fabulous costumes, time travel, adventure, fantasy...but I know it's not to everyone's taste so don't make many cards with the theme. Have to say I found making this page so relaxing and enjoyable...stamping , masking, water colouring, stencilling, hand lettering -all on one page and the mistakes don't matter! Definitely going to do this more often!
So please take a look at what the Sweeties have been up to this week, then we'd love to have you play along and inspire us with your own creativity. If you've never tried journaling before give it a go, it's fun!
Thanks for visiting, enjoy the weekend.

Crafty Catz #489- Optional twist Make it Funny

Good morning, another week has flown past and it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz. It's Billie's turn to host, she's picked the theme of 'make it funny' which is perfect for this week's sponsor Doctor Digi's House of Stamps.
The team were given some fun digis to play with, I chose to use Hairdresser Hannah, this stamp just cracks me up! Look at the expression on his face!!!

I used my copics to colour the areas I haven't paper-pieced, random papers from stash, and a stamped sentiment.

Hop over to Crafty Catz to see what the rest of the team made, it will cheer up your day! Then why not play along? You don't have to stick to the theme, anything goes, but let's face it, we all need cheering up this time of year! Christmas is over and spring seems a long way to go, so come on...make us smile!

Here's my card featuring Chickz Cool Chick

The cool chick is coloured with copics, I was delighted to discover some chicken themed paper in my stash, (LOTV) but unfortunately the paper with the hens on is covered by the yellow paper with the birdy claw prints and you can't see them..doh!

Crafty Catz are back!- Challenge #488

Good morning, Crafty Catz are back after the Christmas break with a brand new challenge for you! This week our lovely Aunty Sue (the boss lady!) is hosting, the optional theme is  'animals' and our fabulous sponsor is Sheepski Designs
Visit Our Shop

I actually made this card last summer when my 4th granddaughter was born. My daughter in law loves elephants so this gorgeous Little Heart image fitted the bill perfectly. I used my copics to colour, die cut the image with a stitched  circle die and popped onto a twisted easel base. The die cut hearts are pink and grey, not black! Sentiment is a stamp.
I hope everyone is rested and ready to play along this week...if you need some ideas just hop over and see what my lovely teamies have created to inspire you!
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.

Fab'n'Funky- no design paper!

Hi, I'm back with my second post today, this time with my DT card for Fab'n' Funky, again the first of the year. It's my turn to host the challenge this week, which means I get to pick the theme :) -so I chose NO design papers- basically make anything you like as long as there are no printed papers involved!
Out came my Gelli plate and distress inks again, along with my gorgeous Lavinia stamps (old favorites and new tiny fairy and orbs) and glitter pen. Heaven!
The Fab'n' Funky ladies have been busy creating a lovely variety of projects so please hop over to the Challenge Blog for some wonderful inspiration, I hope you choose to play along too!

Sparkle

Good morning, the first challenge of the year at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' begins today! The theme for this month is 'sparkle' and the project must be Christmas related. I made a card using some scraps of DP , glitter card and a few die cuts. The backing card and border are embossed  and I added a piece of glittery twine. Quick and simple and a good way of using up some of my (heaps) of left over scraps!
There's loads more to see over at CaSS, and we have some lovely new teamies joining us this month, so please hp over and take a peek!

It's New Release Day at Bugaboo!

I made a card featuring this cute Bobblehead piggy, I think I was influenced by many hours of watching Peppa Pig with my granddaughters when they were small 'cos I've given him a muddy puddle to sit in! Coloured with copics, edges and sky inked with DIs. I followed a sketch from
sketch 174

Show us your new stash!

Hi, back again with my card for our first challenge of the year at Sweet Stampin', and yes, you've guessed it, we want to see your new stuff! Doesn't have to be a Christmas gift just something you haven't used before.
I treated myself to a set of Dandelion stamps from Lavinia just before Christmas, so this was a good opportunity to have a little play with them. I made the frame on the  black card base by die cutting 3 rectangles from a piece of black card stock and matting it onto peach coloured card.  I created a background using my Gelli plate and Distress oxides, and stamped each of the three dandelions with black Versafine Clair. I've added a touch of glitter to the seeds -but it doesn't show in the photo. I punched 2 holes beside each stem and tied a scrap of black ribbon through them and added a tiny stamped tag.
So just hop over to Sweet Stampin' to see what my lovely teamies have created with their new acquisitions- then why not play along and show off your own new treasures Please remember to stamp something though!

Thanks for visiting today, have a great weekend
