Freebie Friday at Catch the Bug- dinosaur

It's Freebie Friday at Catch the Bug

this week's image is a cute dinosaur-

I made an Easter card for my friend's grandson- he is obsessed with dinosaurs - I thought it would be more fun for him than bunnies or chicks!

I coloured the image with copic markers and fussy cut it. I die cut more eggs in 2 sizes, drew some cracks and speckles and coloured them too. The little dinosaur was the first to hatch- but he won't be lonely for long, his brothers and sisters will soon be joining him!

Thanks for visiting today - don't forget to grab your freebie!

For a child

Good morning, this week at Crafty Catz Challenges our optional theme is

for a child

chosen by our lovely Auntie Sue who is hosting this challenge.

Our sponsor this time is Star Jam Lines

The DT were given some adorable images to play with, I chose to use Party Giraffe- so sweet- to make a card for my friends little granddaughter's 1st birthday. I've used my Copic markers to colour the image, various papers from stash, ribbon and braid trim, a few tiny pearls. The tag behind the image is removeable and bears her age as well as her name.

We'd love to have you join us this week- click here to check out the beautiful creations from my fabulous teamies and add your own wonderful creation- remember the theme is optional - anything goes at Crafty Catz.

Thanks for visiting

Anything Christmas at Fab'n'Funky

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Fab'n'Funky and as it's the last Wednesday of the month the theme this week is Christmas. Our lovely and very talented Pat K is hosting this week.

I made a fun card using one of my favourite Christmas stamps (MFT) this little dancing Santa  always makes me smile- he's so happy! Papers are from a pad I bought in the Works between lockdowns, one of the very rare times I went into a non food shop.  The die cut tree is, I think, a Penny Black die.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, please do take a look at the Fab'n' Funky Challenge blog to admire the beautiful cards my teamies have created this week, we would be delighted to have you play along- anything Christmas themed goes.

Every page is a new adventure

Good morning, our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' begins today, the theme for this fortnight is
 Not a Square
This is the card I made for my eldest granddaughter's 14th birthday at the beginning of April, I used a Gemini Create-a Card triple easel die to make the base, stamped the print and sentiments on the first 2 pages. The last page is a collage of some of her favourite book characters. My sweet Livvy is a real bookworm, nothing she likes better than to curl up somewhere and get lost in a book- can't think who she takes after!
 She really loved this card!

As always there are some beautiful cards from my team over at Sweet Stampin' so give your eyes a treat and take a peek! We would love to have you join us this fortnight, it's a lovely easy theme but please remember to stamp something, somewhere on your entry.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend

Bunny hugs

Good morning, another week has just flown by and it's time once again for a new challenge at

Crafty Catz. Lovely Nick is hosting this week, she's picked the optional theme of

'All Creatures Great And Small'

We have 2 sponsors for this challenge

 Sherry West Art

and

The team were given some delightful sponsor images to use.
I thought this sweet little girl had a vintage air so I teamed her up with some beautiful vintage style papers- I would tell you the brand but I can't remember the name and I've put the pad somewhere strange ... I'll find it when I'm not looking for it...
colouring medium is Copic Markers.
I have added some (very old) flowers, a die cut swirl, ribbon and twine. The little sentiment tag is  an LOTV stamp.

The DT call at Crafty Catz is still open- if you're interested in joining our very friendly team please drop our lovely Auntie Sue an email

5 o'clock somewhere...

Good morning and happy weekend. It's time for a new ATG Challenge at Catch the Bug.

My card features the fabulous Dottie Celebrate, she's all dressed up for a glamorous night out, partying and downing cocktails. As usual I've used my Copic markers to colour her.

The card layout is fairly simple, the background gold card is embossed with a Couture Creations EF, a panel of black/white DP- this has a lovely sparkle IRL, some black gems, a black tulle bow and a stamped sentiment.

You now have 2 weeks to play along with our ATG Challenges, the prizes are are as generous as ever so hope to see you play along.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a good weekend

Believe in the magic

Good morning, today brings another challenge over at Crafty Catz, this week Jac is hosting and the optional theme she has chosen is embossing, our lovely sponsor is

Jan's Digital Stamps

I made a CAS Christmas card featuring a magical top hat from this set- Magic of the Season, which comes with some lovely sentiments- however I used a sentiment stamp so that I could emboss it with it with a glittery embossing powder.

The image is coloured with Copic markers, I sponged some yellow distress ink around the swirling stars wwwhich were coloured with a gold sparkle pen, I added some glamour dust glitter to the snow on the brim.

Please hop over to Crafty Catz to see what my lovely teamies have come up with this week- the DT call is still open if anyone is interested!

Thanks for visiting, have a good day

I like you...

Good morning, todays card is my DT make for this week's challenge at Fab'n' Funky. The theme this week is Embossing (wet or dry).

This is the birthday card I made for my granddaughter Emily- she will be 7 in May and this cute Mo Manning image is Emily to a T! From the pigtails and freckles to the cheeky expression on her little face! I've used my Copic markers to colour, I kept the design very simple to focus on the image.

For more inspiration, please pay a visit to Fab'n' Funky to see what the rest of the team have come up with this week- hope you find the time to play along.

I tried...

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz, this week our lovely Aunty Sue is hosting and the theme is Anything Goes- no twist this time!
Our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous

I'm behind on my Christmas card making this year so I decided to make one for this challenge- a side step card featuring the wonderful Gus
I printed and coloured the image, then enlarged and printed the stack of bottles twice, coloured and fussy cut them and stacked them up on the side steps. I added a die cut sentiment to finish.
Please do hop over to Crafty Catz to see the fabulous cards the team have created this week and of course we'd love to have you join us - anything goes- so no excuses!

Wishing and smiling...

Good morning, I'm snatching a quick moment to share this card - I've been trying to find time all week but someone is keeping me busy just now...

I have used some gorgeous stamps from Colorado Craft, coloured with Copic markers, papers from stash and die cut flowers.

Here's the little someone who has been taking up most of my time....
he's clutching the new toy that his 'auntie' sent him for Easter!
He is growing so quickly- he put on 2 kilos in 2 weeks and now weighs 10 kilos, he's teething like crazy and it bloomin' hurts when he succeeds in testing them out on me!!! I won't be sorry when he grows out of that habit. He's a really good boy at night now- sleeps from 11pm- 7am - no accidents!
His training is coming along nicely too- at present we're having a one-to-one session with a trainer for half an hour a week and as soon as they open up again he'll be going to puppy socialisation classes. It's only a few days now until he can go for a short walk in the park which we're really looking forward to.
I can't believe that it's only just over 3 weeks since we brought him home, he has definitely filled our home and our lives- hard work sometimes but such fun!
I love that he looks as if he's smiling when he's asleep :)

A colour challenge at Crafty Catz- and a DT/GDT call

Happy Easter weekend, I hope you all have a lovely time whatever you're doing this weekend, at least the restrictions have been relaxed a little here in the UK and we're allowed to have our families in the garden again- that means 2 Egg hunts here, 2 eldest granddaughters on Sunday, littl'uns on Monday ! I thought that at 14 and 11 the two older girls might not want to hunt for eggs in the garden they just looked at me as if I was bonkers!!! Hope we don't all get too cold!!

Anyway, back to the card...this week's challenge at Crafty Catz has the option of following a  colour chart picked by our lovely Ginny

our sponsor this week is the fabulous

the team were given some of their cute images to play with and my card features the sweet Maddy- Molly- Yorkie, coloured with Copic markers. Various papers from stash were chosen to match the colour scheme, a stamped sentiment and a bow. It looked a bit bare so I added the little flower- shaped buttons and doodled the leaves and stems.

My lovely teamies and our Guest Designers have created some fabulous cards this week using sweet sponsor images so please do hope over and check out the Crafty Catz Challenge Blog and the exciting news that we're having a DT/GDT call at the moment- if you fancy being part of our  friendly team, and you have a blog, then just contact our lovely Auntie Sue (all the details you need are on the Challenge Blog)
