A card for Rudolph Day

Hello, I made a card to enter into this month's Rudolph Days Challenge- and almost forgot to post it- only one more day to go and March will be here!

I made a tent fold card, glued dark blue snowflake patterned dp inside for a background sky, cut an aperture with a circular die, then added the die cut snowflake frame. I coloured up the cute stamp (I think it's Wild Rose Studios) and fussy cut it to stand in front of the aperture. I added a stamped sentiment and 4 sparkly stickers.

Thanks for stopping by, have a pleasant evening.

Fuchsia Fairy

Good morning, can't believe it's been a whole week since I last posted! So much has happened this last week- the storms and terrible weather, the end of Covid restrictions and now the dreadful events taking place in the Ukraine, it's really frightening to think about it and the catastrophic loss of life that will follow the invasion. I think the world has enough problems facing what is happening caused by natural events, climate change  and global warming without mankind adding to it with acts of aggression that will have worldwide consequences.

Enough doom and gloom I'll change the subject now and move onto today's card.
It's time once again for a new challenge at Crafty Catz, this week we're sponsored by

and the optional twist for those who want to use it is 'Add a flower'.

I made a CAS card featuing the sweet Chibi Fuchsia Fairy, She's coloured with Copic Markers and I've added loads of sparkle to her wings with Wink of Stella. My added flowers are a Lavinia fuchsia stamp, and two tiny doodled  flowers at the end of the doodled border. The sentiment is stamped too.

There's plenty more to see over at Crafty Catz,  so do hop over and take a look at what the ladies have created this week- and you're all invited to join in!

Thanks for visiting

stay safe and well.

Spring Chicken!

Good morning, I hope everyone is staying safe from the storms, it's definitely a time to batten down the hatches and stay indoors where it's warm and dry! I'm firmly staying put in my craft room today!

Today's card is for our new challenge at Crafty Catz, this week  our host is Aunty Sue, the optional twist for those who would like to use it is 'Add A Sentiment' and we're sponsored by

BECCYS PLACE

There are some amazing images on Beccy's site- loads of fabulous freebies too, so it's definitely worth a visit.
I've used an image from the Spring Chickens set, the lovely Henrietta, coloured up with copics and fussy cut to stand inside the oval frame. The sentiment is from the same set.
The papers are from LOTV- I've had them for ages! The flowers and leaves are punched.
Hop over to the Challenge blog to see what my teamies have been up to this week and of course it would be great if you choose to join in!

Birthdays at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, our new fortnightly challenge begins today over at Fab'n' Funky, Ginny is hosting this week and her chosen theme is Birthdays. This comes at a great time for me as both my sisters have birthdays this week...on consecutive days! This is the card I made for one of them using a fun digital set, Wine Friends, from Jan's Digital Stamps. I made an easel card using the black and white version of the main image and bottle image and two of the sentiments. I've used copics to colour, and papers from stash, a gingham ribbon that matches perfectly with one of the papers. The sentiment on the tag is computer generated. I know this will make her laugh as during the summer we will often sit in the garden and share a glass of wine or two- she will ring if she's coming over, instructing me to 'get the wine chairs out'! We'll sit and talk and laugh, putting the world to rights, as you do with a beloved sister!
The Fab'n' Funky ladies have been busy creating some beautiful cards to inspire you, so hop over and take a look, then why not play along, after all we all need birthday cards!

Love you to bits

Good morning, time for this fortnight's challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme this time is 'Love, love, love'.  I don't 'do' Valentines, but I thought this image and sentiment could be used for plenty of  other occasions, the image is of course one of Mo Mannings delightful digis! The sentiment comes with it. I've coloured with my trusty copics, and added some stencilled hearts, so a quick and simple make today.

Please follow the link to see what the Sweeties have created for this challenge, then please do join us- we'd love to see what you create for the theme.

Thanks for visiting, have a great weekend

Gnome One Like You...

Good morning,  I hope everyone is keeping well and avoiding the dreaded virus. I have to say I'm not too sure about the wisdom of people not having to isolate after testing positive being brought forward, seems much to soon when there is still so much of it about. I understand that with the vaccines and anti viral drugs people are less likely to be seriously ill but it seems hard on the vulnerable and high risk members of society as I am sure that there will be people who will go to work and about their business as if they do not have it especially if they don't have any symptoms! Worrying times!

Enough doom and gloom, I'll move on to the card. This is my DT make for this week's challenge at Crafty Catz, sponsored this week by

Our host this week is Janet, our lovely and talented newest teamie, her optional theme is 'Add a ribbon'.
The team were given some super cute sponsor images to play with, I chose to use Gnome Couple and a sentiment that came with it. I printed the image with a grey outline rather than black, trying for more of 'no-lines' effect. I've once again used Copic Markers to colour. The papers are from my scrap drawer, plenty more where they came from, I've used a scrap of yellow ribbon and some printed border ribbon, tiny flower brads and a wooden heart, coloured dark ble with DI.

On a personal note I had a lovely visit with my brother in Blackpool. He seems to be doing well, gets very tired still but it's early days yet. We went out to lunch, which he enjoyed- good  for him to have a change of scene and someone different to talk to. We all enjoyed watching Marvin, our Lab., playing with Tia, his Cockapoo there's just a few months between them and she's as crazy as he is! Horrendous weather- rained the whole way there- nearly 300 miles of motorway, traffic and rain- not fun- and continued to rain  all the time we were there. We took Marvin onto the beach at Lytham and he looked like a mud monster- all ok he washed it off in a giant pool of water (not sure if it was sea or rain)- he had a whale of a time! The next day we took him to the park instead so he leapt into the pond....
I've waffled on enough now so I'll leave you in peace- don't forget to check out the challenge.

Butterfly Girl

Good morning, hope it's been  a good week and you're ready for the weekend. I shall be away for a few days from Sunday- my brother suffered a massive heart attack at the beginning of January- thanks to the paramedics and doctors, who were brilliant, he's making a good recovery. He has to take things a lot more slowly but the doctors are very pleased with his progress and he's well enough for visitors. I'm really looking forward to spending a couple of days with him but keeping the visit short as I don't want him overdoing it!

My card today is my DT card for our challenge at Crafty Catz, this week lovely Ginny is hosting and the optional twist is 'Anything but square'.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I made a circular easel card featuring Butterfly Girl, image coloured with Copic markers, stamped sentiment and butterfly DP from stash. I've fussy cut a few extra butterflies and raised them on foam pads to add a bit of interest and dimension.
As always, there's no need to follow the twist to play along at Crafty Catz, we love to see whatever you are making so just follow the link to add your entries.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend

Pearls and lace at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, a new challenge begins today at Fab'n'Funky Challenges, this fortnight our lovely Pat is hosting and she would like to see lace and pearls on your creations.

I made a Christmas card- mainly because I unearthed this sweet stamp whilst looking for something else...and decided to colour it up. I stamped it with grey Memento ink and coloured with Copic markers. I added lace to the embossed 'snow' border and tiny pearls to the snowflakes.

We hope you have time to join us this fortnight- just click Here to enjoy some beautiful inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Thanks for visiting
