I'll be back...

Good afternoon  my lovely friends and followers,

A brief explanation for my unscheduled absence- my  brother lost a short but traumatic battle with bowel cancer and passed away last month. I have needed some time to spend with my family and to try to get my head around the sudden loss of such a wonderful man. I'm still struggling with this but need to keep myself busy, so intend to be back blogging on Friday...fingers crossed.

Crafty Catz Challenge #555- Optional twist- Make a scene

Hello! Running a bit late today with my post for this week's challenge at Crafty Catz. I'm off on holiday tomorrow so I've been busy packing and getting and getting the house ready for Marvin's 'babysitter', a lovely friend who has kindly offered to stay here with him while we are away. Usually we take our dogs with us when we go on holiday but at 5 months he's too young for the journey. Also he has kleptomaniac tendencies and I wouldn't trust him in someone else's property! He really loves his Aunty Helen and she loves him so I know he'll be perfectly happy with her but we're going to miss him!

Anyway back to the card...this week the optional theme has been chosen by our lovely Nick,

'Make a Scene'

We are sponsored this week by

DI'S DIGIS STAMPS

PRIZE.....$6 DOLLAR VOUCHER

http://www.disdigistamps.com/

I made a bridge fold card, the background toadstool houses are a Polkadoodles stamp,  the little fairy is from Jenoviya Art and the toadstool border is a die cut, also Polkadoodles. I've used Copic Markers to colour.

As always there's plenty of beautiful makes from the Crafty Catz over at the Challenge blog- hope to have you play along this week- remember the theme is always an option, we love to see your creations whatever they are!

Thanks for stopping by- see you in a week.

One for the boys

Good morning, this week our challenge theme over at Fab 'n' Funky Challenges has the theme of

'FOR THE BOYS'

chosen by our lovely and super-talented Pat K.

This is the card I made for my nephew- a stencilled background using various colours of Distress Inks, a die cut keyboard and a few stamps. I don't have a die for a guitar so I stamped onto black cardstock and fussy cut it. to create the guitar silhouette.

Thanks for visiting

Have a lovely day

June Challenge at Crafty Calendar

Good morning, I'm here today with my DT card for our June challenge at Crafty Calendar.

The theme this month is

 Anything Goes

and we're sponsored by the fabulous

Digi Doodle Studios

I made a rocker card using the cute Party Birds digi, which I've coloured with Copic markers and glitter pens. The colours of my card are much brighter IRL- unfortunately the light was bad when I took the photo...

There are some beautiful creations from the rest of the Crafty Girls using these cute sponsor digis over at Crafty Calendar and we'd love to have you join us for this 'anything goes' challenge.

Thanks for visiting today, have a great weekend

Tag- You're It! at Crafty Catz Challenges

Good morning, what a fabulous week of warm sunshine we've enjoyed here! It's been so lovely to spend some time in the garden...even if Marvin does make sure that it's not particularly peaceful! At 41/2 months old he finds impossible to resist the lure of plants, flowers, stones, bees, ants, snails- well anything really! Still what can you expect from a puppy- I'm sure he'll grow out of eating everything one day...please!!

Anyway back to business- there's a new challenge starting at Crafty Catz today, the theme, picked by Jac, is Tag- You're It- as always this theme is optional.

Our sponsor this week is the one and only Bugaboo Stamps

prize...$12 gift voucher

http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

The image on my hand cut kraft tag is Snowman and Birds, which I've coloured with pencils

There's plenty of inspiration from the rest of the DT over at Crafty Catz so do hop over for a peek, we'd love to have you play along this week.

Thanks for visiting today- have a great weekend

Yo ho ho ! Guest Designer at Digi Doodle Studios

Good morning, I was lucky enough to win a challenge at Digi Doodle Studios, and delighted to be invited to Guest Design for this month's challenge.

The theme is BOYS TO MEN

I made this card featuring the cute Pauly Pirate (thank you Dina), he's coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut, I stood him on a desert island in the shade of a palm tree, a Tonic Studios die cut. The rolling waves are cut from very old dp, I think Nitwits. The ship is hand drawn and the sentiment is a stamp.

There is plenty more inspiration to be seen from the fabulous designers over at Digi Doodle Challenges,  it's a great theme this month, hopefully you'll be inspired to play along.

Thanks for visiting
