Best foot forward!

Good evening. Hope you've had a lovely day- I have! Been out shopping and for lunch with OH. Actually bought some shoes... not boots- shoes! I do have a bit of an addiction to boots which is probably why I couldn't resist this fabulous Stampendous stamp! Sadly, I can no longer wear heels like these...but I can dream!!!!
To make my card I inked a piece of white cardstock with blue and brown distress inks, then randomly stamped the cogs around the edges. The boot was stamped with clear versamark ink and embossed with a copper coloured embossing powder. I coloured the image with a blue distress marker and bronze and copper coloured Twinkling H2o's, quick and easy because of the embossed lines. Clock face is glossy accented. Cogs are diecuts attached with brads. A few gems added to finish! I like the result and I'll definitely be using this stamp again!!!
Thanks for looking!

A quick reminder....

...that there's still plenty of time to join in the current challenge at Ladybugs Crafts Ink. We're celebrating a new digi release, some absolutely fabulous images that you really won't want to miss!
I used 'hanging baskets' to make my card... you can buy it here for just £1.75!

I printed the image twice and coloured both with copics. I cut out one entire image, shaped  it slightly with a ball tool and 'hung' it from the corner die cut. I then cut the larger flowers from the second image, shaped them and stuck them over the top and added a bit of bling for some sparkle!

These lovely floral, digis are so versatile and easy to use! Why not pop over to Ladybugs Challenge blog now and join in with your own lovely flowery creation.... if you leave a comment you could be the lucky one to win 4 of these beautiful digis!
 Have a happy day

Photo inspiration at Hobbycutz Challenges

Happy Sunday! This week at  Hobbycutz we have a photo inspiration challenge for you. Pink isn't really my favourite colour but I do like these gorgeous dusky shades and the deep burgundy/plummy colours. Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and we've been given some of their beautiful images to play with. I chose to use 'Miranda Sassy'.

I coloured the image with copics and paper-pieced her dress, cut her out and mounted her onto the backing papers using  sticky pads. The fabulous flourish is of course from the Hobbycutz shop. I embossed it with some lustre embossing powder, I think the colour is gorgeous!! The harlequin background was made using texture paste through a mask, then swooshing over the top of the paste with distress ink to add a bit of pink! part from the large rose, the flowers are handmade.
Thanks for looking, I hope you're having a peaceful and relaxing Sunday. Please take the time to check out the Challenge blog, you'll be delighted with my teamies' lovely creations and we'd love to have you play along with us this week.

Game for a laugh at Sweet Stampin'!

Good morning! Hope the sun is shining where you are, but if it's not brighten up your day by checking out the new challenge at Sweet Stampin' - humour! I promise you the DT have made some fab cards that will put a smile on your face!
My card is not funny.... I take my wine very seriously.... but I got away with it this time ;)! The image is one I was lucky enough to win from Handmade Harbour. I printed it twice, coloured the border of one image with my copics. I then coloured the glass of the second image and covered it with glossy accents, when dry I cut it out and curved it a bit, then stuck it on top of the first image with pinflair glue to give the card some dimension.  The image was then matted onto black card and some toning dps. The 'cheers' is die cut from a scrap of DP.

Thanks for taking the time to look! Now do yourself a big favour and pop over to Sweet Stampin', it'll make your day! Why not join us this week, we would love to see what makes you smile... all we ask is that your creation is humorous (we love a good laugh!!!!) and that there is some stamping on it somewhere!  You could be lucky and win a prize from one of our lovely sponsors, Crafts u Love or Cuddly Buddly.

Have a great weekend!

I had a little unsolicited 'help'....

...with this card!
The 'helper' came in the shape of a very large grey dog name of Mathilda! She has had a demon in her today, didn't know what mischief to get into next!!! She stole and chewed up a large piece of ribbon that I was going to use.... not a good look on a card!! She dribbled on the first piece of DP I cut, again- not a good look, might get away with it on a grunge card, but just looked like gunge. She then hung around waiting for the opportunity to nick anything I took my eyes off! Consequently I finished making the card too late to get a daylight photo so the colours look a bit weird! The background is not pink! Anyway, hope you like it. The beautiful image is Fan-tasia from Delicious Doodles, coloured with copics, a Memory Box die cut, some ribbon, papers and gems....quite simple if you don't have Mathilda's help!!!

Here's a pic of the 'helper' in action!
Thanks for looking

Floral Delight 3 - New Release at Ladybugs

Good morning! At last it's time for the new release at Ladybugs! -Floral Delight 3! There are 12 images in this collection at the amazing price of just £1.75 each! I've only seen my image and can't wait to check out the rest of them!
Here's the card I made with my fabulous image! - Hydraenga

and here's a close view of the image- fabulous isn't it?

To make the card I printed the image twice onto kraft, coloured it with polychromos. I cut one piece into a tag shape, added a piece of bakers twine and placed it directly over the other image (does that make any sense?:) I layered onto a piece of dp and then onto a kraft card base... a couple of die cuts and some faux stitching with a white gel pen. The 'hello' in the tiny tag is hand written.
Our challenge this fortnight is called 'Flowers Galore', so a great opportunity to make some lovely flowery creations! As well as the usual prizes there's a chance to win 4 digis of choice from this new collection, just leave a comment on the challenge blog stating which is your favourite and that lucky winner could be you!!!
I'm off now to check out what my teamies have made with their images as I've only seen tiny snippets so far!

Several shades of grey!

Hello my dears! Just a quick post today, to share this card I made with a fabulous Aurora Wings fairy. These images are so beautiful! I coloured her with copics, she's actually all shades of grey, colours look a bit weird in the photo! I've added glitter to the flowers and jewellery. The  die cuts are Memory Box . Thanks for looking, hope you have a good week!
