Joe Frost

Good morning, I'm here today with a Christmas card, my DT make for this week's challenge at Fab'n' Funky

Our very talented Pat K is in charge this week and the theme is Christmas.

I coloured up a cute Digi Doodles snowman, Joe Frost that I was lucky enough to win a few weeks ago. I made a tent fold cold and cut part of it away to add a bit of interest to the shape. I've added lots of sparkle to the snowman and icicles which unfortunately doesn't show up well in the photo. I've given him some embossed snowbanks to sit on and doodled some snowflakes (not very well) around the border with a sparkle pen. Tiny gems added to the doodling and die cut snowflake borders.

This is the inside before I added the gems

Today is our 48th Wedding Anniversary
We won't be going out for a lovely meal to celebrate!!!
but
my husband is going to cook his 'signature' dish of sea bass
(which is delicious!)
so at least I won't have to cook!

Thanks for visiting today

Birthday Gift Bag

It's Monday (I think!) Anything But A Card showtime at Catch the Bug!
Anything But a Card!

Stuck for ideas- (brain is on a go- slow just now!) I was browsing through Pinterest when I happened upon this cute bag- it looks exactly like a much loved  summer bag that I used to own . .
I didn't watch the video - just made up my own template and sizes, nowhere near as gorgeous as the originals but my friend was delighted with it (and the chocolates inside).
The cute tag and added flowers are Flower Tag 04, just printed the tag again in a larger size and fussy cut the 2 flowers to decorate the handle.

Thanks for visiting
have a good week.

Utterly distressed!!!

No, not me - the card! This week's challenge theme at Sweet Stampin' is 'distressing'- so distress inks, distressed edges and torn papers are just a few of the things we would like to see on your creations. As always, you can interpret this theme as you wish!
I thought I'd try for a shabby chic look, not something I'm comfortable with but it is meant to be challenging :))
The beautiful image is ADFD, heard a rumour that they might be reopening, so hope it's true. Colouring medium is Copics with a little DI splodged around the image! Distressed all the edges of the papers and  kraft card with a Tim Holtz distress tool thingy. Added die cuts and flowers, a little LOTV stamped tag and a few pearls.
I can honestly say that the Sweeties have produced some wonderful cards this week so why not HOP OVER and take a look. We'd love to see what you make of this challenge so hope to see you there!

Crafty Catz Challenge #503 - Optional Twist- Use a sentiment

Good morning, another week has passed and It's Friday again - time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz. I have to say that the weeks are still flying by even though our movements and activities are restricted! We have had some lovely sunny days with the promise of more to come- Which means at least those of us who are lucky enough to have one can get outside and enjoy our gardens. I managed to get some compost at the supermarket yesterday and I'm looking forward to planting on some of the teeny tiny little plugs we ordered online. They were so small when they arrived that you practically needed a microscope to see them, but they have grown and need more space now! I planted seeds too and am really enjoying watching them grow- quite a novelty for me as usually I sow them, lovingly water them ....and nothing happens!
Anyway back to the challenge, our lovely Janette is hosting this week and her chosen theme is 'use a sentiment'- as always this theme is optional.

We are also lucky to have a wonderful new sponsor

PRIZE
One free digital download from her Etsy shop and a 30% coupon for all items in her Etsy shop SherryWestArt.

The team were given some fabulous images to play with, we all love them!
I used the sweet Leila Ladybug 0687, so delightful to colour.
I kept my design very CAS just adding a stamped sentiment.
Why not hop over to Crafty Catz to see the beautiful cards my teamies have created using these pretty images, hopefully you'll be inspired to join in with our challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope your weekend is good

Flowers are Happys on Sticks

Good morning, It's New Release day at Catch the Bug- this week's digi is a lovely cheerful flower trio.  It can be used for so many occasions and is quick and easy to colour. I made a very quick and simple card using bright and happy colours. I'm going to give it to my friend when I deliver her books and a bit of shopping on Thursday- she's been indoors for weeks now - she's in her eighties and her husband is on the high risk list so won't be going out for a while yet. She loves flowers and bright colours so hopefully will make her smile!

Thanks for visiting, keep safe and well.

Hi, I'm back again with a quick post to remind you that it's Freebie Friday at

Freebie Every Friday!

This weeks digi is a delightful little bee, so hop over now to grab yours!

I used my copics to colour, bee papers from stash an embossed sentiment. I didn't have any black/yellow striped paper or card so I wrapped black ribbon around a rectangle of yellow cardstock to make the stripes.

Thanks for visiting today, have a good weekend.
