Midway reminder for Crafty Calendar

Good morning and happy weekend. A brief reminder that our October Challenge challenge at Crafty Calendar only has just over a week to go. The theme for this month is 'Halloween'. I made a card for my smallest granddaughter using this sweet little witch from All Dressed Up...she's available here. Emily is only 3 so this cute non-scary image is perfect for her even has a little cat, which I coloured to look like Emily's pet! I cut the front of the card into the shape of a 'spooky' house (just drew the shape on the inside first), and added the wonky windows. I covered what would have been the inside of the card but now shows on the outside (does that make sense??!) with purple paper and added a moon and stars. I don't have a die for a bat so I drew the shape on black card and gave him some wobbly eyes. Die cut sentiment is Tim Holtz.
For full details of this month's challenge and sponsors please click here to pop over to Crafty Calendar, where you will find plenty of inspiration from my lovely teamies. You still have plenty of time to join in with your own creepy (or not!) creations.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!

The elf is watching...

Hello, I'm a little late with my post today, been a busy morning! My card is for our new Challenge at Creative Moments, the theme this week if you want to use it is 'Purple Paradise'. We have 2 fab sponsors for this  Dr Digi and Sparkle n Sprinkle. My cute Elf-sitter image is courtesy of Sparkle n Sprinkle it comes with a coloured image as well as the uncoloured one and several sentiments too.
I coloured my elf with copics in sades of purple and olive and added glitter to the bells on his outfit, then sat him on the edge of my pop up box. He's surrounded by glittery stars and presents and you can see Santa and his reindeer in the background. I now have to decide which of my granddaughters to give it to...they love their 'Elf on the shelf' the whole family have a lot of fun with it! (you just don't want to know what that elf gets up to at night!)
Thanks for calling by today, please hop over to Creative Moments for full details of sponsors and prizes and to check out the fab creations from my teamies.
Have a good day

Autumn colours at HMFMC

Good morning my friends, hope the week ahead proves to be a good one for you all. My card today is my penultimate GDT creation for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge...the theme this fortnight is 'Autumn/Fall Colours'. I am lucky enough to live less than 5 minutes walk from a small woodland area and this year the colours of the turning leaves are just amazing! We've also been very fortunate with the weather, mainly warm and sunny...with bright blue skies and I've tried to use some of these colours in my card.
The card base is a simple tent fold with rounded corners I cut out the middle section to show the beautiful blue sky inside, complete with die cut clouds. I stamped the cute mousie with his parachute leaf onto a separate piece of card, coloured with copics , then fussy cut. I stamped the tips of the leaf again onto the main body of the card then matched the cut out image to bridge the gap. The  wooden sentiment is coloured with copics.
I'm having a great time guest designing for this lovely challenge, please click here to enjoy the wonderful creations from the Mousie Girls and for details of the fantastic prizes on offer!
Thanks for calling by today, hope you have a good week.

It's great to be 8!

The card I'm sharing today is for my little granddaughter who is excitedly anticipating her eighth birthday next week! It's a good fit for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' which is 'Sparkle and Shine' does have lots of sparkle (promise) although it doesn't show in the photo...the card isn't lopsided either...the camera DOES lie! :))
I chose this cute image (Polkadoodles) because of  her Ruby doesn't need to wear glasses...she's just obsessed by them and wears a pair of huge 'fake' ones whenever she can get away with it, kids do have strange ways sometimes!
There's sparkle on the edges of die cuts, added with a glitter pen (Kaisercraft) and loads of Wink of Stella everywhere (Ruby loves a bit of sparkle!), her specs have glitter on the frames and glossy accents on the lens.
The sentiment is stamped n pink and then coloured with the glitter pen.

There are loads of splendidly sparkly creations from my lovely teamies to be enjoyed by clicking here, so please do hop over and take a peek...then it's your turn to dazzle us with your own beautiful glittery makes...just remember to stamp something.
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely weekend.

October Challenge...Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

It's time for our October Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'...only 2 more challenges to go this year! For my DT card I used this fantastic Snowman Selfie image from Sheepski Designs, it's available here and believe it or's a freebie! I printed out the image, then reduced the size and printed it twice more. I coloured the larger image with my these jolly snowmen, they're so cute!  The film strips are die cut (think it's a Joycraft die). I cut sections from the smaller images to fit inside each frame, coloured them and stuck them behind the  diecuts...pleased with the effect! The stamped sentiment is attached with a triangular paper clip.
If you haven't made any Christmas cards yet this year NOW is a good time to start!! For more inspiration just click here to see what my lovely teamies have made...we'd love it if you play along with us this month!

It's only words...

Good morning my friends and visitors, hope your week is going well. Our new challenge at Fab 'N' Funky has a great theme ...' Word Art' chosen by our lovely Troppostella. We're lucky to be sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo this week and were given some brilliant stamps to play with. I chose to use Noel cute! Coloured with copics, glitter added to fairy lights, papers from stash (think they're Papermania), Embossed panel using an ef free with a magazine. Die cut fairy lights, coloured with copics and glitter added.
Apologies for bad photo, took it late in the evening and couldn't get lighting right!
As always my teamies have come up trumps and created some lovely cards to inspire! Please hop on over to Fab 'n' Funky to take a peek.

Japanese Beauty

Good afternoon, hope you're all enjoying a lovely peaceful sunday. I'm full of lunch (we went out to eat so no cooking and no clearing up...YAY!), and having a bit of 'me' time!
My card is inspired by the current challenge at Aurora Wings - 'Clean and Simple. I love an opportunity to colour Mizi's beautiful images. I thought I'd try something a little different this time so I printed Miyabi twice and coloured one image in greyscale. I cut a strip from the second image and coloured that colours :)) then paper-pieced it over the top of the grey image  ...quite fiddly to get it exact! With hindsight I wish I'd just marked the image and coloured in the central section instead of cutting the strip...the line down her face would have blended in better- otherwise I like the effect! The stamp in the bottom right hand corner is the Japanese kanji for beauty (I hope!)
Thanks for visiting
have a lovely evening.

Good morning and happy weekend! Over at Crafty Calendar there's a new challenge starting today with the theme of 'Halloween'. It seems to getting increasingly popular here in the UK and the children seem to love granddaughters do anyway, after all what's not to love about free sweeties! I always make sure I have plenty of treats for the neighbours' kiddies...and my girls very kindly take charge of any 'leftovers' to save me worrying what to do with them. So thoughtful :))
Anyway, back to the card. I don't know what the fold is called, but i made the card blank from black cardstock. The gorgeous witch is courtesy of Dr Digi, one of our fabulous sponsors this month, she's
available here. Wilma is dressed in her best party gear to celebrate her favourite night of the year...just check out those tights! The skeletons and sentiments are various stamps.
We hope you're going to join the fun and play along with us this month, just click here to hop over to Crafty Calendar for all the challenge details and to see what my lovely teamies have made to scare you with!

Good morning... over at Creative Moments we're celebrating World Smile Day (Fri 6th October) so the optional theme for this fortnight's challenge is 'Smile'. A smile makes everyone feel better and with all the terrible things going on in the world at present it's a good time to make the effort to spread a little happiness. Our lovely sponsors this time are Creative Bug and Sheepski Designs and as soon as I saw this fantastic image I knew I'd have to use thank you Sheepski! Well, it really makes me smile anyway! For the above card I used the image just as it was, keeping my card design very CAS. I printed the image onto a piece of white cardstock, coloured it in greyscale apart from his fabulous shiny red nose. The sentiment is stamped. I enjoyed making it so much I made some more...
This time I cropped the image (my new favourite thing to do with digis!) coloured it with copics and stuck it into an aperture in a piece of DP. the pom pom is covered with stickles glitter. I die cut the letters and added a tiny LOTV tag.

I used the cropped version again on the third card, cut right round it and adhered to black cardstock , matted onto DP. white gel pen around edges of DP. 'Fluffy puffy stuff' on the pompom. Stamped and embossed sentiment.
These cards were really fun and very quick to make, the only thing that took time was the colouring..but that's a pleasure :) I think they make great Christmas cards for men!

Trick or treat

Good morning, it's  the start of a new week and time for a new challenge over at House Mouse and Friends, the theme this fortnight is Halloween.
 Here's my GDT card.
I made a side step card using a cling rubber stamp featuring 3 little mice dressed up for Halloween...such fun to colour this cute image!  The stamp is quite large so it didn't need much in the way of embellishments...I added a die cut cobweb and a stamped 'Happy Halloween.'. The pumpkins decorating the steps are stamped, coloured with copics and fussy cut.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today, please take a look at The House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog for full details of prizes etc...there are some amazing projects to inspire you from the talented ladies of the design team.

Have a great week.

Autumn Blessings

Good morning and happy weekend! The theme for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' is ...wait for it...'Autumn'. I've made another card with a large image as the focus. This beauty is from Aurora Wings, and yet again she's coloured with copics ...been having a bit of a 'colouring fest' lately. Again, I've kept the design very simple, framing the image with kraft and blue card. I added some stamped and die cut leaves, a piece of twine and a stamped sentiment.
Please take a look over here to see what my lovely teamies have been up to this week, and of course we'd be delighted if you choose to play along...just remember to include some stamping!
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi There!

Well...hi there! As soon as I saw the theme for the current challenge at Aurora Wings I knew wanted to play along just haven't found the time to make something  until today. The theme is 'Crop it' - and cropped images are brilliant to colour as you can make them much bigger than if you you use the whole thing! I played about for ages, cropping images (it's amazing how versatile one digi image can be when you focus on different parts of it!) and eventually decided to use Little Elf Kia. This is the first image I ever saw from Mitzi's magic pen, and I had to buy it straight away...I think she's still my no.1 favourite.
So...image cropped, coloured with copics and matted onto black card and a shimmery dp. Stamped sentiment added. Simple.
Thanks for looking

Fabulous Phantasi

Good morning, I have another autumnal card to share with you today. I made this for our new challenge starting today at Fab 'n' Funky...our  host this week is the very talented Pat K and she has chosen the lovely theme of Autumn (Fall) colours. Our sponsor for this challenge is Digistamps4Joy, with a lovely prize for the lucky winner.
I coloured this amazing image, Phantasi 7, with my copics. I printed the image quite large so kept my design very simple , just adding a stamped sentiment and a frame. The frame is hand cut from cardstock, coloured with distress inks then stamped with various leaf stamps in shades of brown yellow, green and rust. I then embossed it using UTEE so it has lovely shiny finish. I SO enjoyed making this card!
My teamies have made some wonderful cards to inspire you this week so please pop over here to take a look. It would be great if you join the fun this week and play along!

Spots and dots

Good morning, this is a scheduled post as I'm at my son's today looking after my 3 year old granddaughter while Mummy and Daddy enjoy a belated honeymoon. They're only away for a couple of days as they didn't want to leave their little girl for too long! She's totally unconcerned at their going away without her...but I'm a bit worried about the plans she has for me...I'm going to be kept very busy!
The new challenge at Southern Girls is up and running, the theme is 'Spots and Dots' and the sponsors this time are Lacy Sunshine and Krafters Kart, please visit the main challenge blog for full details.
To make my card I coloured up Rory's Lil Unicorn from Lacy Sunshine, using a mixture of copics and glitter pens. I kept the layout very simple,  an embossed square of cardstock wrapped with twine matted over dotty dp. I added a tag, sentiment is computer generated and 3 little brads.
Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

Colours of Autumn

Good morning all, my card today is for our new challenge at Creative Moments, you may just have guessed that the optional theme this time is 'Autumn colours'. We have 2 great sponsors for this  challenge- Bugaboo and Mari's Digi Store
I was given this sweet image, Bunny, to play with, she's all wrapped up to keep out the autumn chill and settled comfortably beneath the trees on a pile of leaves (nice dry ones!) to read her book, accompanied by a sweet little rabbit.
I used a piece of hessian die cut into a circle,  DP, die cuts ribbon and twine to make my card.
Thanks for visiting today...hope you find the time to play along. Remember anything goes at Creative Moments, the theme is optional!

School Days

Good morning. It's time for a new challenge over at House Mouse and Friends, the theme is school days and here is my Guest Design project -

My eldest granddaughter is in her last year at primary school and has been/is sitting tests to see which school she will be attending next year. Because of where she lives she has to sit tests for two education authorities (I think it's totally unnecessary, surely one test would be sufficient and the results shared! or even better school places could be decided on their performance during their time at primary school, much fairer than putting children through the stress of exams!) Anyway, I'm off the soap box now...back to the project.... I bought Livvy a little gift to wish her luck and decorated this  tiny bag to put it in.
I inked up a huge (old) 'good luck' stamp with versamark ink, stamped a piece of blue card and heat embossed with white EP then matted it onto brown card to cover the front of the bag.
I used my copics to colour the cute mousie staggering under his heap of books, then cut him out and  attached him using foam pads. I die cut a tiny tag and used a part of of the large stamp to stamp and emboss the 'good luck'. The letters of her name are die cut, and the little owl charm is attached with string and a brad.
Livvy was very happy with the bag and even happier with her present!!!:))
As always there is some amazing inspiration from a bunch of very talented ladies to be seen on the House Mouse Challenge Blog and also some fantastic prizes to be won, just click here to hop on over and join the fun!

and they're back...

Good morning my friends. If you read my last post these guys may look a trifle familiar :)) Here they are dressed in fetching shades of blue, don't they look cool?!
This card is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', a great theme this week...we want you to use your favourite that IS a challenge! How can anyone pick a favourite when there are so many to choose from??? It is rumoured that some members of the DT cheated, but not me, oh no I never cheat...this is my new favourite Christmas stamp so perfectly acceptable! ;)
A simple matted design with glitter added to borders, the ribbon wrapped layer is stamped and heat embossed with a glittery embossing powder, looks very pretty IRL (not that you can see much of it!) and the tag is a chipboard one that I've had for years...still got gazillions of them left... I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto it and attached it with an equally ancient snowflake tag which I glittered up.
Why not come along and play with us this week, rack your brains deciding which is your favourite stamp then ink it up and join the fun! Just click here to enjoy the fabulous creations from my lovely teamies and then add your own beautiful work.

Hello...I'm a bit late with this post, intended to do it yesterday but just didn't have time! This card is for our new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' which started yesterday. As always the theme is anything goes as long as it's Christmas related...and it's hard to believe that there are only 3 more challenges to go this year!!!
I used my new favourite Christmas stamp, just love colouring these gorgeous polar bears, they look so cute however they're dressed! I've coloured them in blues and red/green already so thought I'd go for brown's and golds this time for a change! The sentiment is a stamp and die set by Hero Arts.
Thanks for looking, hope you find the time to play along this's getting closer now!

For a friend

Good morning! Fab 'n' Funky Challenges are back today after our summer break. This week's challenge is hosted by our very and talented Susan and she's picked a lovely theme for you...'for a friend'. We're sponsored  this time by the fabulous Crafts and Me .
To make my card I coloured the beautiful Genevieve image with my copics then placed her in the die cut and embossed frame (it's brown, not black as it looks in the photo!), cutting around part of her hair to spill over the frame. The papers are Authentique, I love these beautiful blue and brown shades together. I added some die cut flowers, a scrap of lace and a stamped sentiment.
Hope to see you playing along at Fab N Funky this week, it's such a great theme, it's always lovely to make something for a friend!

New stamps...

Good evening friends and visitors! Seems like ages since I've posted on my blog...the last few were scheduled as I've been on holiday. We had a lovely peaceful week in Norfolk...just Hubby, our dog and me. So lucky with the weather, warm and dry, it's been really changeable since we got back home...Autumn is definitely on it's way!
I chanced upon (Ok I looked it up before I went...) a fabulous little craft shop, Aldridge Crafts, with a great range of stamps I gave in to temptation and treated myself! After all it is important to support the (few) craft shops that remain, isn't it?
Today I've caught up with everything so had time for a little play, here's one of the cards I made using some of my new acquisitions, a set of Paper Artsy stamps. A bit outside my comfort zone this is a one layer design coloured with Zig Clean Colour pens. The border is stamped using a stamp that was a magazine freebie a few months ago also coloured with the Zig pens. The flower stems are part of the same set of border stamps. I forgot how long it takes me to make a CAS card!!!
Thank you for calling by, have a lovely evening.

Guest Design at House Mouse Monday Challenge

Good morning! I was very excited to be invited to Guest Design for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, thank you so much ladies!

I love these sweet stamps, some of mine are very old but they come out to play time and time again!
This fortnight's  challenge is  ' I can see right through you' - make a creation using vellum or an aperture.

I made a tent fold card, I cut the front of it off, just leaving enough at the top to punch a daisy border. I cut 2 strpis from the remainder of the card front and reattached them using strips of vellum, -a very pretty sparkly vellum I've had for years! I used narrow strips of glitter card to cover the joins. The adorable little mousey is the first HM stamp I ever bought, a wood mounted one. She's still my favourite! I coloured with copics added loads of Wink of Stella to her tutu , fussy cut and placed her over the Vellum backed aperture. I just added a die cut sentiment and 3 sequins.
Apologies for the photo...I tried for ages to get one that showed the light through the vellum but this was the best I could get! It honestly looks much prettier IRL!
It would be brilliant if you choose to join the fun over at House Mouse and Friends, there are, as always some fabulous creations from the talented team to inspire you and some amazing prizes to be won!
Thanks for visiting, have a lovely week.

For a child...or baby

Hi, I'm back already with my card for September's challenge at Crafty Calendar, we would like to see your cards for a baby or a child. I don't know why but I really struggle with baby cards... I think I have some kind of mental block! It's not even as if I don't like babies...amongst my friends and family I'm known as the 'baby grabber' because I just love to cuddle them! However, I needed to make a card for my niece whose baby girl is expected this month so was inspired to make this :)
The stamp is LOTV, coloured with pencils, papers are from Joy Crafts, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, our fabulous sponsor for this challenge. Hope you can find the time to play along with us this month, just click here to join the fun!
Thanks for visiting today, enjoy your weekend.

Heat embossing

Good morning and happy weekend. Here's my DT card for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin'  the theme this week  is 'heat embossing'.  To make my card I used an old favourite, a  wood backed  stamp by Magenta.  I stamped a piece of white cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed using white EP. I used foam pads to colour it with distress inks. To make the flowers I stamped onto vellum several times and heat embossed, coloured them with the same inks, fussy cut and layered them together. I added a diecut and embossed panel, diecut leaves and swirl. The sentiment is stamped. I love this technique and should use it more often!
Please click here to see the fabulous creations from my lovely teamies. Hope you're inspired to play along with us this week.

Flaming poppies!

Hello and happy weekend. I like to play along with Aurora Wings Challenges whenever I can, mainly because I love to colour Mitzi's fantastic images. This time the theme is 'the Elements' and I chose to use the colours of fire'. To make the background I coloured a piece of white cardstock with distress inks in shades of yellow through to red and stenciled some swirls and 'flames' onto it. I added a die cut trellis to the left hand corner, and a strip of embossed vellum mounted onto black card across the centre. The gorgeous AW image is coloured with copics, background of this is again coloured with distress inks in the same shades of yellow orange and red and stenciled with swirls. I added black die cut poppies and a large flourish, more die cut poppies in yellow, orange and red and a vellum swirl (hopefully to look like smoke!).
Thanks for visiting, have a fabulous weekend.

Smash your stash with the Southern Girls

Good morning. There's a new challenge starting today over at Southern Girls. the theme for this fortnight is 'Smash your stash' ie use up some of the stuff you've had stashed away for ages! We're sponsored this time by Polkadoodles.

The image I used for this card is from the Eden Collection, Cherryblossom. I coloured her up whilst on holiday 2 years ago so I think she fits the theme! I stamped the white background paper with a Tim Holtz stamp I love, which has been lying neglected for at least 2 years, probably a lot longer! I used a punch for the borders and added some very old Prima flowers, brads and tiny (and elderly!) buttons.
Please hop over to  the Southern Girls blog to see what my lovely teamies have made to inspire you, then why not follow our excellent example and use up some of that lovely stuff you've had hidden away for ages, we'd love to see what you make with it.
Thanks for calling by an d enjoy your day.

Anything goes at Creative Moments

Good morning! I have to say I don't know where the last week disappeared to, I've been so busy with the grandchildren. This is definitely not a complaint, we've had a lovely time, I'm still recovering from a day out at Chessington World of Adventures...impressing my older 2 granddaughters by going on the thrill rides with them (old enough to know better, I know -but some people just don't grow up do they?:)). This was followed by looking after all 3 of them yesterday, they're very good girls but full of energy and on the go all of the time! Wouldn't want it any other way...but it was lovely at 7pm when they'd all gone home...won't be missing them for long though, they're back on Saturday for a sleepover!
Anyway, back to the card. Our new challenge at Creative Moments is 'Anything Goes' no twist this fortnight...
We have two wonderful sponsors who generously gave the team some lovely digis to play with, I chose this lovely little fairy from Rick St Dennis she's called Pansy and is available here. I coloured her with copics and added Wink of Stella to her wings and dress (which of course doesn't show in the photo!).
The red circles are vellum, I added some stencilling with  black Nuvo Glimmer paste to my background DP. The sentiment banner and stamped flowers were  coloured with Zig Clean Color brush pens. The leaves are die cut.

Dragonfly and doodles

Good morning and happy weekend, today my card is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin'...our theme this week is 'add some doodling' can be a little or a lot as long as it's there. It seems that doodling is something you either love...or hate...doesn't seem to be a middle ground :) Me, I love it, so I had a great time creating my card. The cute dragonfly is a stamp, but he looks kind of doodled so I chose him as the focal point of my card, stamped him onto white card, coloured with copics and die cut into a circle. I then doodled the border around the edge. I matted the circle onto a slightly larger green one then placed it in the middle of my card base and lightly drew around it with a pencil, I used a black pen to draw a border around the edge and then doodled the corners and edges that showed around the circle...I started off trying to make it symmetrical, but soon got tired of that so just drew where I wanted to...sooo relaxing!

Anything goes at Fab 'n' Funky

Hello and good morning, there's a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky starting today, it's my turn to pick the theme this week so I pick 'Anything Goes'...can't get any easier than that! Our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Di's Digi Stamps offering a lovely prize for the lucky winner.
I made a hanger rather than a card for my Mum's birthday last month. She's bedridden and we hang her cards from cords around the walls....she gets loads of them as we're a very large family. Her eyesight isn't great so big is best! This is quite big, about 20 inches long. I made some templates for the letters and cut them from purple (already lightly embossed) cardstock, distressed and inked  the edges adding faux stitching. The letters are joined together by threading ribbon through eyelets.

The little bear is of course a Di's digi stamp available here, I printed him quite large, coloured him with copics , fussy cut and stuck him  on my hanger. The daisies are Polkadoodles stamps, coloured with copics and die cut. The butterflies are die cut from vellum and overlaid with the yellow card, tiny green gems added to their bodies. The sentiment is a LOTV stamp and the little gold hearts are Nuvo Crystal Drops. Mum was pleased with this and it's still hanging in her room now.
Thanks for calling by, be sure to hop over to Fab 'n' Funky to see my teamies'  beautiful creations, I will be so happy if you choose to play along this week!

August Challenge...Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Hello my friends and visitors, hope all is good with you and yours.
The August Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' is up and running...only 4 more to go this year! As always, the theme is " anything goes as long as it's Christmas related".
I've had a massive tidy up and clear out of my craft room over the last couple of husband made me some new storage as he was fed up climbing over stuff to get to his computer, 'my' craft room is meant to be shared space but one of is a bit selfish and takes over. It is lovely and tidy now, I can see floor and desk .... and I have rediscovered lots of neglected stamps like this little House Mouse hanging from the holly. So cute and fun to colour with my trusty Copics, die cut into a circle and matted onto red and gold circles. I added a stamped sentiment and some tiny die cut holly leaves and doodled stitching around the edge.
Inside the card is another cute mouse, sporting his Santa hat, with a stamped sentiment and holly sprig.

Do, please, take the time to hop over to Sweet Stampin' Christmas Challenge Blog and see the beautiful creations from my lovely teamies....and we'd love to see your fabulous festive projects too, so why not join us this month.

Thanks for visiting!

Sit back and relax!

Good morning, hope your week is going well so far! It's been very quiet for me so far....had some time to play and even made a dress for Emmy (youngest GD), quite surprised that sewing machine still works and that I still know how to operate it!
My card today is for our new challenge over at Creative Moments, the optional theme this time is 'make it funny'. I was lucky enough to be able to choose a digi from Doctor Digi, one of our fabulous sponsors for this challenge...these images are brilliant, great to colour ....and funny! Meet Colin,  such a picture of sartorial elegance in his  socks and pants...but hey...he sure knows how to chill! He's happy as long as he has a cup of tea and control of the remote...remind you of anyone!?! I use my copics to colour, papers from stash, added some twine (coloured green with copic) a couple of buttons and some stamped sentiments,  a quick and simple make!
There's plenty of  fabulous cards to make you smile from the rest of the DT so just click here to take a peek! Hope you find the time to play along this fortnight.
Thanks for visiting!

Crafty Calendar- shaped cards

Hi...back again with my DT card for our August challenge at Crafty Calendar, the theme is 'shaped cards' sponsored by Crafty Ribbons

I was given a sweet image from Sheepski Designs, Fuzzy Friends, which I coloured with Copics, fussy cut and mounted, using sticky pads, onto a circle cut from DP. I added a die cut flower, button and twine and a little chipboard swallow coloured with DI. The sentiment banner is stamped. The card base is cut with a Crealies Die.
There's loads of lovely inspiration from the rest of the DT to be enjoyed by clicking here, so do hop over and take a look! Looking forward to seeing what you make of this challenge.
Thanks for visiting my blog today...enjoy the weekend!
