Watch the birdie!

Hello everybody! Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful festive season with your loved ones! I had a brilliant time, can't believe just how quickly it's all over...all that planning and prep...then whizz bang...it's gone! Still, we can look forward to next year...!
I apologise for the poor quality of the photo of my DT card for this weeks challenge at Sweet Stampin', which is 'a little bird told me'. As it's still the season of goodwill we 've made it an  easy one this time, just needs a bird on your creation, plus some stamping of course! Mine is a simple tent fold card, the cute image is a freebie from Birdie Brown (how very apt!!!) coloured with copics. The bunting is hand cut and I added a stamped greeting! How I enjoyed not making a Christmas card!!!
We are sponsored this week by Crafty Ribbons and our usual monthly sponsor The Ribbon Girl.

Do you have Chrismas all tied up?

.....no?? Me neither! :) Even when I think I'm organised I'm just not!!! Ah, well it'll all get done in the end, I'm not going to stress about it!
Anyways, it's time for our new challenge at Hobbycutz and this week it's my turn to set the theme, which is 'All tied up'. Nice and easy, huh? All you need to do is add something that ties to your project! For my card I used this sassy image, Mrs Claus (lucky Santa!!) from the fabulous KennyK, our generous sponsor this week She's coloured with copics. I tied two tiny bells to a Hobbycutz wooden leaf, which is also coloured with copics.  Please take the time to visit the challenge blog to see what delights my teamies have for you, we would love to have you join us this week.
Have a lovely restful Sunday!

It's getting closer....

Hi folks! I'm back again with yet another Christmas card! This one is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', which is 'last minute Christmas'. I think I've probably cheated here as my 'last minute' cards are usually made the day before Christmas Eve,
still I expect you are all more organised than me and will be making your last minute preparations long before that :)!!
I used a gorgeous stamp from LOTV, I love it, so very cute! The three little girls are coloured with copics apart from their paper pieced dresses. You don't want to miss what my fabulous teamies have created this week so pop over to Sweet Stampin' and check out the inspiration. We'd love to see your 'last minute' makes and you could win a prize from our lovely sponsors Cuddly Buddly and The Ribbon Girl.
Have a great weekend!

Christmas is coming...very quickly!

Good morning, so pleased you stopped by, everyone is so busy getting prepared for Christmas it's great that you've found the time! I'm personally finding the run-up a lot less stressful this year as I'm no longer at work (yay!!!) but there's still so much to do, unless you are a man of course, then it's not your department!!!:)
Anyway, back to the card... this is my DT card for our last challenge this year at Southern Girls.  The theme, unsurprisingly, is Christmas. I used the cute Molly the elf image from Saturated Canary, who along with Marianne Design , is generously sponsoring the prizes for this challenge. Why not take a few minutes, you could do with a rest :), and pop over to visit the Southern Girls, you can feast your eyes on my talented teamies beautiful creations and I'm sure you have something wonderful you can share with us! C'mon don't be shy!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas....

Good morning! It's time for the last challenge of this year over at Songbird Challenges, and our song this time is 'We wish you a Merry Christmas', which of course we all do! I've used the fabulous 'sleigh' stamp from our lovely sponsor Kenny K. I've coloured it with copics and a touch of white gel pen, added some glitter, some glossy accents to the runners and a bit of 'snow'. The papers are MME Dear Santa collection, and are all quite glittery IRL.
We'd love to have you play along with this challenge, you can click here to check out the fab creations from the DT and add your own to the link!

Little lost fairy...

Good morning! hope you're enjoying a lovely restful Sunday! This is a scheduled post as I have two small guests this weekend and I have absolutely no idea how the morning will pan out! In an ideal world they will be sleeping in until about 9am., we'll have a leisurely, civilized breakfast and their parents will arrive to collect them at about 10.30...yeah, right...dream on!!!!
Anyway, this is the card I made for our new challenge at Hobbycutz. The theme this week is 'create a scene'. We're sponsored by the Stamping Chef, who very generously gave us some beautiful images to play with. I chose to use the beautiful 'lost fairy' image, which I coloured with copics and Perfect Pearl paints, glittered her wings and fussy cut her out. The fabulous tree is a wooden Hobbycutz laser cut which you can buy here. The background is white card, coloured with pan pastels and stamped, using various stamps, with black Stazon. There is quite a lot of black glitter added but it does'nt really show in the photo!
Pop by the Challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations from my teamies! We really hope that you'll be inspired to join us this week!
Have a lovely day!

Rudolph with your nose so bright...

Good morning and welcome to the weekend! Our challenge this week at Sweet Stampin' is another easy one with loads of scope, to use black and white and just one other colour of your choice. How easy I hear you all cry as you reach for your red....., well that's what most of the DT seemed to do anyway!!!! - including me, as you can see from above!
This card was so lovely and easy to make as I just stamped the gorgeous image onto white card and glittered up his nose! A bit of matting, embossing and a die cut holly leaf- job done! The stamp is one I bought years ago and it's one of my favourites, it's by Hampton Art Stamps.
Please pop over to the challenge blog by clicking here and you'll see what my lovely and so-talented teamies have made! We're sponsored this week by My Mum's Craft Shop, and there's also a monthly prize from the Ribbon Girl.

Die another day!

I'm here again with my second post for today, my DT card for our new challenge at Songbirds. The themes for our challenges are all inspired by song titles or lyrics and this one is 'Die Another Day' which was the theme song for a James Bond Movie! For our challenge all you need to do is add a die cut to your project, another easy-peasy one! We are sponsored this fortnight by Meljens Designs and were given a selection of lovely images to choose from, I chose to use this cute little fairy. I coloured her with my trusty copics, die cut the oval shape and mounted it onto a larger oval of red dotted paper. The pine needle border and the heart with bow are both Memory Box dies. You can see what delights the rest of the songbirds have made and join in the fun yourself by clicking  here.
Have a good week!

Come celebrate with Sweet Stampin'

It's time to celebrate... Sweet Stampin'  is 4 years old today, hooray!! We're inviting you all to join the party by entering this weeks challenge 'cause for celebration'.  It can be any kind of celebration, birthday, Christmas, new baby...whatever you like! There's also a £10 voucher from our monthly sponsor The Ribbon Girl, and an extra prize for a lucky entrant with a US shipping address! Wow!
I really enjoyed making my card, even though it didn't end up looking how I thought it would when I started! The gorgeous image (she's just so happy!!!) is of course by Mo Manning. She's coloured with copics. The balloons were part of a stamp which are again coloured with copics, then cut out and attached to twine. The papers are MME: On the bright side.
You can find a tutorial to make this card shape here. Thanks Norma , you are one very talented lady!

Now, why not pop over to Sweet Stampin' to see what the rest of the sweeties have made...there's loads of inspiration for you to enjoy this week!

....just a quickie!

Good evening! Just a really quick post to share the card I made for this week's LIM challenge. I don't always have time to play along with this great challenge blog, but couldn't resist this week's, which is to use designer paper in a CAS way. As I'm sadly behind in the Christmas card department I made this. The holly leaves are paper pieced using the same paper as the green border. The extra berries in the corner are to hide a green inky smudge... why does that always happen to me!!! Thanks for looking!

Good morning! Here's my card for the new challenge at Hobbycutz. This time it's a colour inspiration challenge, chosen by Nancy.

I made another tag card, using a beautiful stamp from Art Journey. I stamped the image of the little girl directly onto a Hobbycutz label, this was then mounted onto my prepared card. The papers were freebies from a magazine.
Please take the time to visit the challenge blog and check out the beautiful creations that my teamies have made to inspire you! We are sponsored this week by the fabulous KennyK, and as always there is an extra chance of winning a prize if you use a Hobbycutz product on your creation.... so come on... what are you waiting for?!!!

Well interpret it however you like, really, as long as there is a tag and some stamping included you can play along! Our lovely sponsors this week, the Stamp Fairy, gave us some images to play with, how cute are these little owls?! I printed them onto the spotted DP, then two different scraps of brown DP, cut out the bodies (lovely simple shapes!!!) and pieced them together. The eyes have glossy accents to make them shine!
Hope you can find the time to join us this week!

Going round in circles with Southern Girls

Good morning! Another week is flying past and it's Thursday again already! There's a brand new challenge at Southern Girls, the theme this fortnight is 'circles', another nice easy one with plenty of scope!
I used a lovely image from Just Some Lines, (thank you!)which I printed onto kraft paper, coloured with pencils and cut out. I printed the image again onto the blue DP and then stuck the cut out image over the top, this way I didn't lose the tiny details that were too fine to cut! The DP are from a Prima pad, Jack n Jill, these are so pretty and went so well with my image! The paper rose is made with a Marianne die.
We have 3 lovely sponsors this fortnight ,
Life in Bits and Pieces, Just Some Lines and Marianne Design., so there are some amazing prizes to be won! To see what the rest of the Girls have made, and to enter the challenge, just click here.

Ding Dong!

Good morning! This is a scheduled post as I have my granddaughters 'sleeping over'! I really really hope that 'sleeping' is what they do....Ruby is a notoriously early riser... I  hate 5.30 am on a Sunday (or any other day come to that!). My plan is to let them stay up and 'help' with our guests until they can't keep their eyes open any longer then they might sleep in! Fabulous grandparenting skills!
Anyway, back to the card. This is my DT card for Hobbyhcutz Challenges, the theme is 'inspired by a song'. The image is courtesy of our lovely sponsor The Stamping Chef, and is titled 'ring my bell' so I didn't even need to think of a song! However, the song I couldn't get out of my mind is 'My ding-a ling'!!! (Hope it doesn't keep going around in your head now heh hee!). Because of the lyrics "silver bells hanging on a string, I added another bell behind the original image. She' s coloured with copics and glitter pens. The musical background is made using distress inks and a mask. The lovely flourish she's swinging from is a wooden lasercut from the Hobbycutz store, simply coloured with a black marker pen.
There's loads more inspiration for you to enjoy on the challenge blog, so hop over and take a look!
Have a great day!

Get in shape with Sweet Stampin'!

Hello my lovelies, it's Saturday again (already! how?) and that means a new challenge is waiting for you at Sweet Stampin'! This week, a lovely easy challenge for you - design a shaped card - easy peasy! For my card I used a beautiful image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff  you can see her work by clicking here. As the weather has been damp, grey and miserable lately, I thought I'd cheer myself up by using bold bright colours!
Don't forget to pop over to Sweet Stampin' to check out the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!
Thanks for looking, got to dash, I've a very busy day ahead! We've invited a few friends (rent a crowd) round for the evening.... we want them to make a noise (not difficult for them!) to distract Mathilda from any whizzes, pops and bangs from other peoples firework parties! Added to this I have my 2 small granddaughters for the day... and night.... ! So lots of people to feed....! Better get cooking!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, whatever you have planned!

Fabulous 40!

Well hello again, didn't expect to see me back again so soon, did you? Well here I am, it's still Tuesday and that means it's also time to visit the lovely Ladybugs Crafts Ink Challenge Blog to see what  fabulous new challenge we have for you! I'm lucky enough to be a guest designer  for a few weeks! I have been given some absolutely gorgeous images to work with ( thanks so much Kerry!:)) and am thoroughly enjoying myself!
This fortnight there is a photo for inspiration, this is a first for me!

This is the photo.... you REALLY don't want to know how long it took me to work out how to get this photo onto this post!!!!
Oh, how I wish I wasn't quite so technically challenged!!!
(But I did it in the end...yay!!!)
Anyway, back to the card, I chose to use the Through the Ages -40 stamp which you can find here. I coloured the image with copics, I then printed it again, much larger and cut out just the cake part to mount on the embossed background paper. Hope you like it.
Well that's all from me for now.

Shimmer and shine!

Good morning! I'm back again with my DT card for Southern Girls Challenge. This fortnight our theme is 'Shine on'... so we would like to see your shining shimmery creations! Think of the fun  you can have with all those lovely glimmer sprays and mica paints! we have Three lovely sponsors Rhoda Design Studio, Flourish With a Bling and Marianne Design, all with fabulous prizes!.
My card is a fairly simple design, the ivy wreath is made using Marianne Creatables Die LR0206. The image is a Sweet Pea stamp, coloured with copics . I then used perfect pearls to give her wings and dress  some sheen, and the butterflies are stamped, coloured with copics and painted with perfect pearls to make them shimmer. The background paper has been sprayed with glimmer mist to add to the shimmery effect, unfortunately none of this shows very well in my photos, so you'll just have to take my word for it!:)
Thanks for visiting, don't forget to hop over to Southern Girls to see what my talented teamies have created to inspire you, - then get out all your lovely shimmery, shiny stuff, make something beautiful and join  in the fun!

For this card I used a Delicious Doodles image- 'Snow Cuddles' coloured with copics. The die cuts are both Memory Box. It's quite a simple card 'cos I don't like to spend too much time on each Christmas card as there are so many to make!- Also I need to post them!!!

Hello and happy Saturday... what's left of it! Not feeling too great today, sore throat and achey (whinge,,, moan...) so have had a lazy day, reading and playing. At least it's given me time to make a card for the challenge over at Less is More, one of my very favourite challenge blogs! The theme this week is One Layer :Wizards and Witches. I really had fun getting inky with this one, lots of masking and distress inks! The gorgeous witch is from Prairie Fairy and the sentiment is a freebie digi I found ages ago! Thanks for looking, have a great evening (yeah... it's 'Strictly' tonight!)

Songbirds are back!

Good morning and here's something to sing about- Songbird Challenges are back! This fortnight our chosen song title is 'Blue Hawaii' and we would like to see lots of blue on your cards, what could be simpler!? We are sponsored by Scribbles Designs who gave us some fun images to use. I chose to use this cool skateboarding frog on my card, which is for my nephew's 9th birthday! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll take the time to pop over to Songbird Challenge blog and join in the fun!

Trick or treat!

Good morning! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far! I'm planning a lazy relaxing day today after having the girlies while Mum's away! I totally love them both to pieces but after a 24 hour stint  I am not too sad to see them go home with Daddy...altho' it's very quiet here without them!!! (a 4 year old (with attitude)+ 6 year old (genius/diplomat) + Great Dane pup= not an easy mix!!!).
This week at Hobbycutz Challenges  the theme is Halloween and I decided to make a scrapbook page for a change. It's been months since I last made a L/O and I really enjoyed this one (despite feeling really rusty!). Our sponsors this week are Bearly Mine Designs and they generously supplied us with some fabulous digital papers which you can see behind the photo of my beautiful granddaughter! (Did you ever see a less scary witch???) I drew and cut out the haunted house by hand the ghosties and title are cut on the Cricut. The fence, heart and flourish corner are all Hobbycutz wooden laser cuts.
We'd love to see your takes on this theme so why not pop over to Hobbycutz Challenges - you can feast your eyes on what the rest of the DT have made and then add your own creation for us to enjoy!
Thanks for calling by, See you soon!

Officially Autumn!

Well hello lovely bloggers! In my book it's officially autumn as I'm back from my summer holiday! We- me, husband and Mathilda spent 2 lovely weeks in a cottage (well, converted tractor shed!) on the North Yorkshire moors- fabulous! I've never visited this part of the country before and had no idea how beautiful it is! Mathilda (my Great Dane pup) loved it...fields, pheasants to chase (dead rabbits to play with...yuck!), moors and beaches.. she spent every evening in a comatose heap! (so peaceful for us!)... anyway back to the card...my DT make for Sweet Stampin'. If you haven't already guessed the theme this week is Autumn, we are sponsored by Cuddly Buddly and the Ribbon Girl.
This card isn't at all how it started out to be... I found it really hard to get back into crafting after my break! On the plus side I did use a long neglected Gorguss Girl... and the brads are even older! Thanks so much for taking the time to read this, please pop by the challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team...  hopefully you'll be inspired to join us this week.

Black and White...plus one...

.....is the theme at Hobbycutz Challenges this week, another nice easy one! We are sponsored by the amazing KennyK for this challenge and we were given some gorgeous images to play with. This is the fabulous Paige Parasol. The swirls and cogs are of course some of Kobie's beautiful laser cuts from Hobbycutz. These are so versatile and lovely to use. I have embossed these with black embossing powder which gives them a beautiful shiny finish.
We'd love to have you join in with our challenge this week, you do not need to use a Hobbycutz product to play, although we'd love it if you did!
Thanks for stopping by, Have a great week!
Chris

Glamour and Glitz

Good morning! The weekend is here and it's time for the latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' our theme this week is 'Glamour and Glitz' - a great reason to go wild with all the glitter and bling!
We are sponsored this week by My Mum's Craft Shop and our monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl.
My card is made using this vey glam image from Rick St Dennis. She's coloured with copics and glitterpens, cut out and mounted onto glitter paper. I couldn't get a vey good photo but I promise she's much more glittery in real life!
Thanks for calling by and I hope you'll take the time to visit Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog. Hopefully, you'll be inspired by my teamies fabulous creations and join us this week with your own glitzy, glamorous project!
