In a word...

Good morning, fancy a new challenge? Well, you're in luck as there's one starting over at Southern Girls today, the theme is 'words' so that gives you loads of scope! I need some 'male' cards, there's so many men in my family with birthdays in May (so inconsiderate of them to be born in the same month, could have spread themselves out a bit more...8 male cards in one month is a bit much...). I decided to go for something quick and simple (for obvious reasons!) so I used a Woodware Happy Birthday stamp which I stamped onto cream cardstock, fussy cut and embossed. I stamped it again onto my background dp and glued the cut out version on top. I cut a yacht from the dp and used sticky pads to position it on top of the 'H', added a simple die cut frame and a red button!
Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you'll join us at Southern Girls this fortnight, we'd love to see your interpretation of this challenge. Just click here to check out the inspiration from my talented teamies and to add your link! Our sponsor for this challenge is Imagine If.

Have a lovely day!

I love this card Chris - it would work well for anyone just by changing the paper. - and I love the paper! Our family nightmare birthday month is March (my daughter and her husband have their birthdays and wedding anniversary on the same day for a start!!) - but at least its over lol hugs Judith x

Love how you've embossed the Happy Birthday it gives it so much texture. I agree 8 male birthdays in one month is a bit much but this design is perfect for any male, you just need to change the background and voila' a different card, love it. Lainie xx

Great card, some great details on it such as the popped up sailboat- you can almost miss it and the spot of red on the button dotting the I. Great card, thanks for playing along with us at the Male Room!

Great card for a male recipient Chris. I really like the large stamped letters and a great idea to emboss them as they have a lovely looking texture to them. Love the pop of red with the cute button too.
Thank you for joining us at Penny black and More this month and we hope you will join us for our May challenge.

So clever and fabulous! I love everything about this card: from the palette & paper to the wonderful embossed sentiment! Perfect for a guy!
And I agree, at least a couple of them could have come early in April, or waited until June! Geeesh! ;^)
