There's a new challenge over at Southern Girls and this fortnight we're wanting to see 'lots of layers', so a great time to dig out all those lovely papers and layer 'em up! I was allowed to choose an image from one of our fabulous sponsors, Doodlepantry, and after some considerable time chose to use Feathery Friends. It took ages because there are just so many great images to pick from, many of them come complete with sentiments and digital papers, in colour and line drawings for you to colour yourself as well! This file has 6 different birdies and 8 sentiments as well as printable papers so amazing value at $2.75!
I chose to use the coloured versions of these two bright and bold parrots, printed them twice and cut out the wings and beaks of one set to add a bit of dimension (and it's another layer!) I used one of the digital papers that came with the set and matted it onto black card. The plain blue background is embossed. I added the sentiment, some die cut leaves and flowers and buttons from my stash. This was quick and easy to make as the ready coloured images saved a lot of time!
