A little of what you fancy....

Good morning...The Southern Girls are back with a great new challenge ....'a little of what you fancy.' .. basically you can do what you like best to your creation! Me, I love to colour, so I was delighted to choose this beautiful image from one of our lovely sponsors this week Lemon Shortbread and colour her with my copics. I knew straight away that I wanted to make an 'art nouveau' style card as she has the look of one of Mucha's ladies! Once coloured, I masked the image to create the stamped background n the inner circle, then cut around the edge of her hair to let it spill over the double circle frame. I didn't have quite the right swirly die to fit the corners so compromised by using part of a larger die cut...not quite symmetrical, but never mind! The black background is embossed, but you can't see it! Wink of Stella added to her headband (you can't see that either! I added a few tiny gems, and some larger black ones to the frame, the sentiment is computer generated.
They say that great minds think alike...imagine my surprise when  I saw that Alethea and Wendy had both chosen the same image as I did...we had the whole store to chose from!!!...not only that but we all gave her a blue dress! Their cards are stunning, just click on their names to take a look at what they did with this image!
We'd love to have you join us at Southern Girls this fortnight, so why add 'a little of what you fancy' to your creation and share it with us, there are some lovely prizes on offer from Lemon Shortbread and A Random Fan, so if you'd like to win some gorgeous digis for your collection now's your chance!
Thanks for visiting, hope you have good day!

Chris, I just LOVE what you did with this gorgeous image. I did do a double take when I saw yours on the challenge blog, then I smiled, because how uncanny that we should both choose to use such similar colours for the flowers, eyes & dress, and then Alethea added hers and it was blue too! So funny. But I utterly love the way you did her hair, and the gorgeous art deco finish of your card. Sigh, so so lovely. Hugs, Wends x
