Christmas Critter Chaos -Day 7 AND a Freebie!

Well, we've reached the end of our week of festive Critter Chaos at Catch the Bug, here's my card for the final day. Today's challenge is a recipe...Keep it simple with 2 layers and ribbon or twine.
My card features this week's adorable Freebie, Poppi xmas present. I'm never sure whether 2 layers includes the base card or not.... anyway I made a red card base and added the image which I'd die cut with a rectangular stitched die, added my twine and a stamped sentiment...job done!
I think this is such a sweet image and love how the card came out. Don't forget to grab your Freebie this week, to find out how just visit Catch the Bug and all will be explained!
This is the last Challenge for this year at Catch the Bug BUT the Holiday Chaos challenges will remain open until 31st December, so you still have loads of time to play along and have chances to win one of the many fabulous prizes on offer!
This is my last post before the Christmas holiday too so I'd like to take the opportunity to thank each and everyone who visits and leaves kind and encouraging comments, and in particular my lovely followers who regularly visit and comment. It really is much appreciated!

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for a happy and healthy New Year.

Holiday Critter Chaos at Catch the Bug- Day 5

Today we have a real fun challenge for you at Catch the Bug, we want you to take your inspiration from the above photo...I made this card featuring Candy Cane Charlie...I was imagining how my dog would be feeling if she got a peppermint stick for a gift when the house is full of the smells of turkey, ham and pigs in blankets!
Images are coloured with copics, a touch of glitter added to hat, 'bah humbug' is stamped with versamark and heat embossed in white the coloured with a white gel pen, the other sentiments computer generated. I doodled the frame around the red layer.
Just two more days to go of the Critter Chaos!
AS AN ADDED BONUS OUR EVENT WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL 12/31/19 SO PLENTY OF TIME TO JOIN IN THE FUN!

One Entry Per day per Person!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

Crafty Catz Challenge #487- Blue Christmas

Good morning, Friday the 13th-hope no one is superstitious! It's time for the last Challenge this year at Crafty Catz, we have a fantastic sponsor this week...none other than the amazing Bugaboo

Our lovely host this week is Ginny and she's picked the theme of  Blue Christmas, which is, as always, optional. I made a concertina card using a Tattered Lace die that I'd only looked at and put back into the packet before...it looked a bit complicated to me, but once I'd worked out where to stick the tags (!!) it was ok! The cute image on the front is of course from BugabooWinter Cat and Puppy Dog, coloured with copics. I also used a Merry Christmas and large snowflake die cut. I have heat embossed with  chunky white EP around the frames and added a few small die cut snowflakes. Not the easiest card to photograph but you can get an idea from the photos beneath.

We hope you choose to play along with this last challenge for 2019, please just click HERE to hop over and see the beautiful cards the team have made, they really have excelled themselves this week.
Thanks for visiting

Winter clothing at Fab'n' Funky

Hi I'm back again with a second Christmas card to share. The theme this week at Fab'n'Funky was chosen by our lovely talented Pat K and she would like to see winter clothing on your creations...sohats, scarves, mitt, coats, stockings etc. I chose to use a cutie from Mo Manning, she's certainly wearing plenty of winter clothing!  I created a card base from a piece of mauve/grey shimmery card, added my image along with some die cut pine trees, snowflakes and 'snow' banks. The sentiment is stamped.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Christmas at Sweet Stampin'- December Challenge

Well here we are with our last challenge for 2019 at Sweet Stampin' Christmas Challenge...not long to go now before the big day arrives! This month our theme is 'Critters'- so as long as your project is Christmas themed and has a critter on it we would love to see it!
I coloured up a Whipper Snapper rubber stamp that I've had for several years and haven't got around to using before. I used various papers from stash and added an embossed die cut border. The sentiment is a PB stamp and the holly embellishment is a sort of foamy thing that came from I -know-not -where ( I have loads of them !).  I used the sketch from Creative Sketchy Girls
If you're stuck for inspiration for those last minute cards there's plenty to see over at CaSS- as usual my fabulous teamies have come up with some crackers.

Christmas trees

Running even later now... here's the card I should have posted yesterday! It's my DT card for this week's Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug. I made a card featuring Christmas Tree Row- love this image! It's a simple design with an embossed panel, ribbon and bow attached with a little Christmas tree brad.
Granddaughters collected much later than planned due to their parent's car breaking down on the way back from the airport...a 2 hour wait on the hard shoulder ( or cold shoulder as my daughter described it!)  for the RAC to tow them home! Still, no one was hurt and all's well that ends well!
Thanks for visiting, enjoy the rest of the weekend

Let it snow!

Hi, I'm back again with my second DT card today...this one is for our 'Christmas' challenge at Sweet Stampin'. Now I have been quite proud of myself this year, I've hardly bought any new Christmas stash- but I did succumb to temptation and bought a couple of gnome themed stamps from Polkadoodles. These cute little snow gnomes made me smile. The snow dome is cut using Tim Holtz dies and the aperture is covered with snow printed acetate. I was going to be brave and make a shaker element but thought better of it as I can never make them seal so that the glittery stuff doesn't escape.
The snowflake dies are both Memory Box, sentiment dies are Tim Holtz.
There's plenty of loveliness to see from the rest of the team over at Sweet Stampin', so do hop over and take a look.
Thanks for visiting today

Crafty Calendar December Challenge

Good morning...errrr afternoon! I'm running really late today, have my Granddaughters staying while their parents enjoy a short break in Cologne. The girls are no trouble and we really enjoy having them to stay, but the time seems to disappear even faster when they are here!
I've three cards to share today, all DT makes, this one is for December's challenge at Crafty Calendar, the theme is 'anything BUT  Christmas and use ribbon'- a chance to have a break from the Christmas cards! sponsors for this month are Oddball Art and Crafty Ribbons

I made a birthday card for my teenage niece using a sponsor digi, Aya tags the wall. I printed the image twice, once onto grey cardstock, I coloured just the sprayed art  then embossed with a brick wall ef. The second time I printed the image onto white card, coloured just the girl, fussy cut her and pieced her over the grey image as I didn't want her embossed like a brick wall! (Not a good look for anyone!). I layered the 'wall' onto black card and then onto a piece of card which was inked with brushos, ac few tiny die cut stars added to echo the art on the wall.  The bunting is made from snippets of ribbon and twine, sentiments are stamped.
For details of prizes and how to play along, hop over to Crafty Calendar.
Thanks for looking!

Good morning, I was delighted when lovely Jo of Tales from the Craft Room invited me to Guest Design for this month, thanks Jo! Challenge ~11 is up and running, the theme this time is 'Christmas'.
Please hop over HERE for details of how to enter etc.
My project this time is a little Christmas  Album I made for my DIL, she's a keen photographer and it's my youngest granddaughter's first Christmas so I know she'll find a good use for it!

The album measures 5 inches square, the pages are made from recycled chipboard and card from packaging and the covers of paper pads, I've covered them with dsp and embossed card stock. There are plenty of pockets and flaps for the photos.
