Something old at Sweet Stampin'...

.... no, I don't mean me! Our challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week is to use something from your old stash. I was rooting around my old wood mounted stamps when I came across this little snowman, absolutely no idea how old it is but I do know it was one of the first stamps I bought- I used him a lot in the past but he hasn't seen the light of day for ages. I made 3 really quick CAS cards, I think I spent longer looking through the stamps.

Hope you can find the time to play along with us this week- be kind to your older stamps (or dies etc) and give them an outing! Just remember to include some stamping on your project :)

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a good weekend

Chris

Doesn't details change over time. My first stamp was a 'Tilda', might just have a look through my drawer see what's there.

Oldie but goodie, just like me, I don't mind admitting it. At first, on the reading list I thought it was one card and I thought wow, that's different. Three really super CAS cards and love the super all singing and dancing snowman.

Look how happy that snowman is to be inked up again! He is a great image and I love your designs with him, Chris! I especially love that "get our merry on" sediment!! And I totally understand what you mean about spending more time looking for a stamp than making the card! Then we shake our heads!! Keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

3 smashing cards x
I have some wooden stamps stashed away in a box under the stairs, funny how they are not so popular now. I must say that the new clear stamps and stamping platform is so much easier to use and less mistakes x

I'm glad you didn't "mean you" by the blog title! LOL So cute. I can just imagine as you wrote your post, giggling and sharing. That "old" snowman looks exactly like the vintage animation from the original "Frosty the Snowman" Christmas entertainment back in the 60s -- surely it wasn't the 50s? LOL The rendition looks fabulous! Cute skinny cards! I am getting caught this year without enough Christmas cards. I must get going on some simple cards! hugs, de

Your golden oldie snowman stamp looks right at home on these slim line cards that are all the vogue right now. Bang up to date. I see the next ccc theme is snowmen so i need to start sorting out my stamps and digis asap as it will take me ages to go through then all. Hugs Mrs A.
