Poor Snowy!

Good afternoon...ever had one of those times when everything goes wrong with a card you're making...well it did here! I treated myself to 'Snowy' a Penny Black stamp that I've wanted for ages, he was sitting on my desk waiting to be used. I had some time yesterday and went to ink him up for the first time...when I noticed teethmarks in the rubber!!!! Marvin has been very naughty, probably thought that the rubber smelt like his ball and need to be investigated. I'm not sure how the stamp got back on my desk but hubby was looking very shifty and quickly went outside when I noticed the damage.... Fortunately not too much damage, I can still use the stamp but Marvin (and Hubby) were in the doghouse for a while.

Ok, Snowy stamped and coloured- I decided to add some Cosmic Twinkles to his hat- first glue wouldn't come out of the bottle-then it wouldn't stop and went everywhere! Left it to dry and fussy cut the little guy to get rid of most of the unwanted glitter, popped him behind the aperture, nearly done just the sentiment to stamp, so I bodged that too and had to add a panel over it! Snowy is now placed well out of the way of the jaws of death and I'm hoping for better luck next time I use him.

He just LOOKS innocent....

Thanks for visiting

Chris

Lolsounds like he was helping you. Least you managed to make a stunning card i am still trying to get upstairs to make. Everytime i go outside he jumps at door or on chair which i then have to race in before he jumps down. I am not going back sayinv he split his stitches. Bad enough with cone of shame he can reach them

Hi Chris,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Well I did have a laugh at your words.
Yes I think we all have those days when everything goess wrong but a true crafts person can save the day or card in this case as you have done.
This card is gorgeous and I love your wonderful design.
Snowy stamped and coloured with no ill effects I can see.
Love the snowflakes around the apperture and the snowy embossing finishes it all off wonderfully.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT

Butter wouldn't melt!! We have a new addition called Marvin, the colour is spot on, but he's a Kong Marvin the Moose.

Snowy never fails to please, was once told he was PB's best selling stamp, looks super in the frame, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts this week.

This turned out absolutely beautiful with this pretty color combo and the sparkle. But poor snowy :( Glad he still stamps beautifully though! And I'm sure Marvin's time in the doghouse was short lived with his cute innocent face :) He's adorable!
Thank you so much for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge. So nice to see you included my optional spots and/or stripes theme too!

Hee,hee, not funny I know, naughty boy, but sooooo funny, the stamp monster, but it all came out fabulously, love the snowman and snowflake frame, gorgeous, I've been there with glue and smudging sentiments and having to add another layer so many times, but yet to have Holly chewing stamps, although she does get into my paints for some reason??

Like butter wouldn't melt lol. I have forgotten how much mischief they can get up to when young Chris. Glad your stamp still worked though. The card is just beautiful.
