Many years ago I was on the Design Team for Delicious Doodles, sadly one of the many Challenge Blogs that have now disappeared, this lovely image is one that I coloured at the time and never got around to using so now I have! Image coloured with Copic markers, various papers from stash matted onto blue card- I printed the butterfly again to finish, coloured and fussy cut it (doesn't quite match the colours on main image as I had to try and guess which I had used).
I followed this sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday
We had a wonderful taste of spring here on Wednesday- the sun shone all day and it was so warm and lovely- absolutely no rain at all - even saw a butterfly in the garden- spring is definitely around the corner.

Beautiful colouring which your papers complement so well.
The soft blues and layered patterns frame this image so well, and the coloring has such a gentle glow that it feels like she’s lit from within. The extra butterfly adds a lovely bit of movement, and the sketch comes through beautifully in the way you balanced each panel. The whole card has that early‑spring freshness you described, like the first warm day after weeks of grey.
Fabulous card Chris, the image is beautiful and the backing papers and design go so well. Some days do feel so springlike we have had a few sunny days this week too, let's hope March brings some early warm temperastures. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Chris your card is lovely. I just adore your colours and image. I like that the butterfly isn't quite the same colour as in nature they would never be a perfect match. Unless they were identical twin butterflies. I know what your mean about Delicious Doodles, I absolutley loved their images. There are so many over the years that have closed down.
