Feeling 'all white'.

Good morning, it's time for our May Challenge at Crafty Calendar, the theme for this month is

ALL WHITE.

This is way out of my comfort zone - I tried but not loving this card! I  think White on White cards can look elegant and beautiful and tend to think of weddings or Christmas so as I don't need a wedding card I went for Christmas. I used an embossing folder (came with magazine) a snowflake ribbon die from Poppy Stamps and TH sentiment dies. I distressed the edges of the focal panel and added some faux stitching with a white gel pen- it's white so it doesn't show up in the photo. Finished with a few little gems.

The prize this month is 2  digi images of the winner's choice from LOTV

Now the rest of the team have absolutely smashed this theme so if you need some inspiration hop over to Crafty Calendar and take a look- wish I'd seen theirs before I made mine!

Thanks for visiting

Chris

Your all white design feels so crisp and wintry with the embossed panel giving such a lovely sense of texture, and the snowflake ribbon die adds a delicate movement that works so well with the soft distressed edges while the subtle faux stitching blends in just enough to enhance the layers, and the little gems and bold sentiment finish everything with a clean festive touch that makes the whole card look elegant and thoughtfully balanced.

Lovely Christmas card, Chris. White on white cards take me out of comfort zone too, but you’ve done a great job.

Hi Chris, I think you're card is lovely! I will also agree that 'white on white' is tricky - but you've nailed it with the layers and interest. I don't make them often, but I enjoy the challenge! Sarah

Hi Chris - I'm probably going to be laughed at for this - but I just spotted my spelling mistake - you're instead of your. I'm a bit of a stickler for spelling so am taking the opportunity of correcting myself! Absolutely off my rocker to notice or care, I know! :-)
