Rapunzel

Good morning. Thursday already and time for the new challenge at Southern Girls
This week we're challenging you to game of bingo!
Our amazing sponsors this fortnight are  the Paper Shelter and Saturated-Canary! I chose to use Rapunzel  from the Paper Shelter ( well, that's not strictly true, my little granddaughter is obsessed with 'Punzel' and as she was 'helping' me to choose.....).

I used the top row of the bingo card, gems, ink, and ribbon.
The image is coloured with copics, cut out (except for the edge of the wall, which is torn and distress inked. I drew the window which is painted with distress ink as well. The trellis is made with criss crossed ribbon, the ivy is a Marianne Design die.... and the little flowers are a punch. The' view through the window' is stamped, coloured with copics except for the sky which is again distress ink. I had a lot of fun making this little scene!
We'd love to have you play with us this challenge!

Back again!

Back again! I just can't seem to keep away this week, don't worry it won't last...just making the most of the free time I have before my gorgeous (but very busy!!!) granddaughters arrive for their 2 night sleepover (I hope 'sleep' is the appropriate term!!)
I told you I couldn't resist this weeks Less is More challenge, and by an amazing coincidence I just happen to have bought some of these fab 'Acid Drops & Whatnots' stamps last week at Biggin Hill!
Well it would be really rude not to use them wouldn't it! They are great to use as they look good just stamped, no colouring at all! However I chose to add just a tad of colour with my copics. The frames are hand cut as I wanted a kind of Art Nouveau effect and I don't have any dies suitable. The outer frame is meant to a bit wavy (honest!)
Thanks for looking!

Challenge#7 at Hobbycutz

Good morning! I'm back again with my DT project for the new challenge at Hobbycutz. This fortnight my lovely and talented teamie,  The Cook, has set the challenge and the theme is flowers / roses. So easy...you can use any kind of flowers, it doesn't have to be roses, and there is no need to use a Hobbycutz product on your entry, although of course we'd love it if you do... and there is an extra chance of winning a prize! This fortnight the prizes are sponsored by Robyns Fetish and Hobbycutz.
I decided to make a scrapbook LO for a change.
I have used a beautiful sunflower digital image from Robyns Fetish, printed in various sizes coloured with copics , cut out and randomly placed around the LO, the lovely Swirly-Strips border is from  Hobbycutz. The gorgeous girlies are my granddaughters!

I really love scrapping and whenever I make a LO I think I should do this more often... but somehow I don't get round to it.
Well, that's all from me for now... Thanks so much for stopping by, please don't forget to visit the Hobbycutz Challenges blog to discover and admire the rest of the team's fabulous work and we would love to see your gorgeous flowery creations.

Thunder storms and butterflies

Good morning! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far... at least it's not raining here, there's even a bit of sunshine and I'm not freezing cold for a change! We had a thunderstorm last night, a new experience for Mathilda, my large but very wussy Great Dane pup! Needless to say she was not impressed!  I had to sit with her until it had passed, I think she made more noise barking than the thunder! Still, she thought she was protecting me from some kind of alien invader!
On to the card, I followed the sketch at flutterbywednesdays,  the image I used is Fairy Fae  from Delicious Doodles,( I was lucky enough to win it recently from One stitch at a time, but haven't had time to use it until now!) Coloured with copics and I used twinkling H2Os on her wings and on the butterflies, it doesn't show in the photo but they have a lovely subtle shimmer IRL! Thanks for looking, enjoy the rest of the lovely long weekend -hope there's no more thunder!

Doodled bugs!

... well doodled bees, anyway! This weeks challenge at Sweet Stampin' is to add some doodling to your project! Personally, I don't mind a little bit of doodling but there has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth from some of the DT!
For my card I used this lovely little baby bee fairy from Mo Manning, coloured with copics. The bees on the yellow circle are hand doodled as is the little bee by the hand written sentiment. The 2 little bees in the top left corner are cut with a memory box die, their wings are cut from acetate, which doesn't show very well in the photo but is quite effective IRL!
Thanks for taking the time to look! Please hop over to Sweet Stampin' to check out what the rest of the DT have made... fabulous creations despite all the anguish! Then get out your pens and start doodling - you could win a prize from one of our lovely sponsors-Sir Stampalot, Crafters Companion or The Ribbongirl.
Have a lovely weekend!
