Something wicked...

 Good morning, this is my DT card for our new challenge at Crafty Catz which starts today. Our lovely sponsor for this week is 

Beccy's Place

the theme is Anything Goes with an option of Purple,Orange and Black.

The image I have used is from the Toil and Trouble set (thanks Beccy).  I printed the image( no colouring this time!) masked it and used purple and orange distress inks to create the background, added a little stencilling to the moon, stamped the cobweb and added a few die cut bats. the sentiment is from the same set as the image.

Birthday Girl!

 Hello, hope you're all having a good day. I've been shopping today, wandering around for what seems like hours looking for gifts for my daughter and granddaughter who both have birthdays next week- really bad planning on my daughter's part- her birthday has been massively overshadowed since the birth of her younger daughter almost 13 years ago now! 

This is the card I made for Ruby, this image made me smile-perfect for a sports- mad girl who also likes to be girly sometimes! Her passion is football, she plays for two teams and the school team, has won countless medals and trophies and is perfectly happy getting muddy cold and wet! Definitely doesn't take after me!

The image is from Krista Smith (previosly Saturated Canary) and I had a great deal of pleasure colouring her with my markers. As you can see, the design is very CAS, just added some die cut sentiments.

Autumn Enchantment

 Good morning, it's Friday again and that mean's a new challenge begins at Crafty Catz.

Janet is hosting this week and she's chosen the theme of Autumn Colours, which is as always optional for anyone wishing to join in.

I used a sweet sponsor image, Autumn Enchantment, which I've coloured with my trusty copics. I used Distress Inks, Lavinia Stamps and stencils to create the background papers and added some die cut acorns and leaves to finish.

'Emboss it' at Fab'n' Funky

 Good morning all, hope your week is going well.

 My card today is for our new challenge at Fab'n' Funky, this fortnight our lovely host is N'Eva and she'd like to see embossing on your creations- wet or dry.

I coloured up this little cute from Conie Fong, added a little stencilling to the background, stamped the sentiment and matted her onto the heart-embbossed panel (sorry, no idea of the make of the EF). I've added a bow with a tiny heart tag and a couple of little brads.

Crafty Calendar October Challenge

Good morning, this month's challenge at Crafty Calendar starts today, the theme is Halloween, a great choice as we're bing sponsored by Oddball stamps so achance to use some of  their cute and creepy images. I've used two of them to make my card, part of the creepy grave and boneyard scene and Blood Thirsty Becky (minus her balloon)- wouldn't want to be meeting this girl anytime soon! Images were coloured with Copic markers, background scene created wuth Distress inks. I added some die cut bats and sentiment.

So exhausting!

 Good morning- the last day of September has arrived, autumn is here, it's been a lot colder this week even though we have had some lovely sunshine. Jumpers and boots have been worn instead of t shirts and sandals and (whisper) we've even put the heating on for a short while in the evenings! Marvin has been snuggling in his basket rather than spreading himself full length on the kitchen floor as was his wont during the summer months, he's a bit big for it really but he loves it so much I don't have the heart to take it away! He has a memory foam bed that's bigger but it's just a flat mattress and obviously doesn't have the same apppeal, not that he's spoilt of course...

There's a new challenge starting today over at Crafty Catz, sponsored by Mirtillemente, the optional theme is 'Use some Blue'. Instead of a card I made a page for my journal, I coloured the fun and quirky So'Getta Happy Birthday image with Copic markers, then used Distress Inks and Oxides to create the stencilled backround. The stencilled panel is layered onto DP-many years old- which I've sponged with blue DI and added some stencilling. The sentiments are stamps from various companies . I've added some die cut and tiny stamped flowers. I loved making this, should make journal pages more often it's so relaxing!

Poor Snowy!

 Good afternoon...ever had one of those times when everything goes wrong with a card you're making...well it did here! I treated myself to 'Snowy' a Penny Black stamp that I've wanted for ages, he was sitting on my desk waiting to be used. I had some time yesterday and went to ink him up for the first time...when I noticed teethmarks in the rubber!!!! Marvin has been very naughty, probably thought that the rubber smelt like his ball and need to be investigated. I'm not sure how the stamp got back on my desk but hubby was looking very shifty and quickly went outside when I noticed the damage.... Fortunately not too much damage, I can still use the stamp but Marvin (and Hubby) were in the doghouse for a while. 

Ok, Snowy stamped and coloured- I decided to add some Cosmic Twinkles to his hat- first glue wouldn't come out of the bottle-then it wouldn't stop and went everywhere! Left it to dry and fussy cut the little guy to get rid of most of the unwanted glitter, popped him behind the aperture, nearly done just the sentiment to stamp, so I bodged that too and had to add a panel over it! Snowy is now placed well out of the way of the jaws of death and I'm hoping for better luck next time I use him.

He just LOOKS innocent....
