Chilly penguins!

Hi , back again as threatened promised! Here's my card for this weeks challenge at Fab 'n' Funky..as it's the last Wednesday in the month it is of course a Christmas theme and it's our lovely Jools' turn to host. Our sponsor this week is none other than the fabulous Bugaboo !

I used a cute  digi stamp Winter penguin trio, which again I have had for some time. These little images are such fun to colour! I again used my trusty copics and added glitter to the snowballs.

Magical Birthday

Good morning, I hope the week is going well for you so far...mine is going very fast, probably because of the long weekend I'm a day behind! At least I remembered to post my DT cards today! This one is for our new challenge at Creative Moments...the optional theme this fortnight is 'Birthdays'...so a lovely easy challenge! We have 2 lovely sponsors :

I have used a Mo Manning image to make my card, I've had this gorgeous wizard lurking in my folder for some time and was itching to colour him...and as I'm really trying to make more masculine themed cards at present , this was the perfect opportunity. He's coloured with copics...loads of sparkle pen on his crystal ball (rather more than I intended ...it came out really fast, must have squeezed the pen a tad hard :). The purple paper behind the image is embossed with a spider web, the edges distressed and embossed with a bit of frantage.

Something old...

Good morning! Seems like ages since I had a card to share, but here I am with my DT card for this weeks challenge at Sweet Stampin'. The challenge this week is to use very old stash....the older the better! We all have plenty of that lurking about so a great opportunity to use some of it!
Most of the things I've used on this card are old...the stamp is a wood backed one, I've had it for years but I still think it's lovely! I've coloured the image with copics and fussy cut.
The papers are old...I think they're MME , again I've had them for years, used them loads when I first bought them and kind of hoarded the rest. The doily is old. I bought a large pack years ago...hardly ever use them! The ribbon is old too. The teacup die cuts are new...magazine freebie...as is the sentiment, they just seemed perfect with the stamp!
I feel quite virtuous using up all that hoarded stash :))

I chose this cute stamp Noah by Rick St Dennis (thanks!!) and coloured it with copics and made a circular easel card, simple design with some layered mats, twine and a die cut anchor.

Good morning, another week is flying past, soon be the weekend again, today we have a new challenge for you over at Fab N Funky, the theme was chosen by our lovely host this week, Troppostella who would like you to create your own background  or use a background stamp. Our sponsor this week is Little Miss Muffet

who kindly gave the DT some fabulous digis to play with.

I used dream dangle background digistamp, my focal image is a sweet little fairy from Mo Manning, coloured with copics. I added the die cut bubbles (they are very  sparkly IRL!) and a scattering of sequins.

Shabby chic at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning and happy weekend. I'm here today with my DT card for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin'...the theme is 'Shabby Chic'.
I have to admit that although I love the look of this style I'm a bit outside of my comfort zone, no matter how I try my cards look a bit 'junky' whilst other people seem to effortlessly pile on the layers and embellishments splatter on some paint...everything but the kitchen sink.. and their cards look absolutely fantastic!!!
I stamped the tag using a rubber stamp I've had for years, can't remember the make but the image is so sweet, cut it out, distressed the edges and added a brad, twine and the pearl trim. I cut the butterfly and bee from the bottom layer of DP and tucked them between the layers, added lace and pearls, a few die cuts and flowers tied with unravelled string...meant to add some paint 'splats' but I forgot....

It's never too early...

Good morning and welcome. It's time for our May Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'... nearly half way through the year already!!! I thought I'd made a card for this challenge before I went on holiday...realised I hadn't so panic stations! Fortunately I'd already coloured up this cute LOTV digi image so this card was quick and simple to make.
My little stash of Christmas cards is quietly growing...I'm going to be SO pleased I started early this year, I'm hoping no last minute panic in December...it will be a first!!

...May flowers..

Hellooo...back from  my hols in the New Forest, had a  relaxing break in a beautiful area, everything is so fresh and lovely at this time of year...but the weather could have been a bit warmer!  At least we didn't get much rain...only once - complete with hailstones! We took Matilda our Great Dane who had a fabulous time...she loves holidays! She is very patient with the attention and admiration she receives, accepts it as her due...and a bit bemused by the animals this time, she's not really used to anything being bigger than she is so the donkeys, ponies and cows wandering past our door were a bit of a surprise! 

My card today is for the new Challenge at Crafty Calendar, this month the theme is 'flowers', our sponsors are All Dressed Up

and Lemon Shortbread

I used a beautiful image from Lemon Shortbread, available here. Coloured with copics and die cut with a stitched circle die, she's framed with a ribbon-threaded scalloped circle and a doily. I made a rocker card and embellished with flowers. the tiny tags are LOTV.

Punch it out!

Good morning...another scheduled post,  this time for our new challenge over at Southern Girls...we want you to use an actual punch on your creations. I've loads of punches that tend to be sadly neglected these days...I used to use them all the time! The punch I used is a Martha Stewart border punch which is a real old favourite. I also used a splatter' die cut (Tim Holtz). The image is courtesy of our lovely sponsor this fortnight - Rory's Graffiti Believe - from Lacy Sunshine.

Lovely Ladies

Good morning...back again with another scheduled post! This is my DT card for this weeks Challenge at Fab N Funky. It's our lovely and so talented Pat K's turn to host this week and she's chosen the theme of 'Lovely ladies'.  Our sponsor for this challenge, Crafts and Me generously gave the DT some gorgeous images to play with, I chose to use this beautiful Audrey Hepburn image by Emily Luella. It's already shaded so I decided not to colour it, just printed it out in sepia tones and used a touch of distress ink around the edges. I stamped the rose (magazine freebie!) onto the corner of a piece of dp, coloured with copics and added a spattering of white frantage. Distressed edges and faux stitching. I added a film strip die cut and flowers, a few brads and pearls. The sentiment and banner are stamped.
