Purple fairy

Hi, back again with another DT card, this one's for our new challenge over at Fab'n' Funky. It's our lovely Wend's turn to host and she'd like to see lots of purple on your creations.

I coloured a beautiful fairy from Morgan's Artworld in shades of purple, added lashings of Wink of Stella to wings and dress., matted onto purple dp and an embossed white panel. The corner flourish die is Memory Box.

Sunny Christmas!

Good morning, we're well into July now and it's time you got started on those Christmas makes...ou know how fast it will creep up on us now! There's a new challenge starting at Christmas At Sweet Sweet Stampin' and although it's an anything goes challenge we like to give you a theme to spark your creativity (and ours!) this month the optional theme is 'Christmas in the sun'. Have to admit I was a bit flummoxed at first...no snow or snowflakes...sun? what? Then I saw some of the creations from my team...they are such a clever lot! I was inspired to think outside the box and make this card, using a fun digi from the much missed Kenny K. The reindeer are wearing sunglasses...perfect! I gave them some waves to splash in beneath that bright sun!

On a personal note my 4th granddaughter is due to be born  today...fingers crossed she doesn't keep us waiting too much longer, can't wait to meet her...and neither can her Mummy!!!

Add a button

Hi, I'm back with my second post today. This is my DT card for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin', a lovely easy theme this week- add a button.

I coloured up a cute Whimsy stamp with my copics and paper pieced her dress and added the tiny heart shaped button to the envelope. I found some design papers with stamps and envelopes...knew they were they there somewhere but had to look for ages! I cut the envelopes from the DP and arranged them behind the image, the sentiment is stamped.

Christmas in July at Crafty Calendar

Good morning, it's time for our July challenge at Crafty Calendar, this month the theme is 'Christmas'...what better time to get in the mood for making Christmas cards than when the sky is blue, the sun is warm and the tennis is in full swing!!!

I made my card using a fabulous image, Selfie Santa generously provided by this month's sponsor - Doctor Digi

The image is coloured with copics, papers from stash and a stamped sentiment.

Make it Pretty at Crafty Catz

Good morning, once again the week has flown past and It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz. This week it's our lovely and super-talented Janette's turn to host, she's picked the theme of 'make it pretty' which is  a perfect  choice for  the sweet images by All Dressed Up, one of this this week's lovely sponsors -

The team were given some beautiful ADU images to use but I chose to colour up a sweet image I was lucky to win a while ago and have been itching to use! Play Day is available here, isn't she sweet!!! I've used my copics to colour, very old papers from stash, a pretty spotted ribbon, the border is a much loved but long neglected Martha Stewart punch, there was a time that every card I made sported this border! The sentiment is part of a Polkadoodles stamp set.

The Crafty Catz girls have produced some stunning cards this week...they really are pretty, so I hope you can find the time to take a look, I'm sure you'll be inspired to play along!

Sea you at the beach!

It's New Release Day over at Catch the Bug ...and this week Jodie has a real little cutie for you! This little Beach Girl would brighten up anyone's day, just look at that lovely beaming smile! 

I printed my image onto white cardstock, then masked her head, body and bag and stamped the circular sea/sun stamp (magazine freebie) over the top. Coloured using copics, then using 2 nesting circle dies I cut the blue circular frame ...how lucky that it exactly matched the size of the circle stamp...that just never happens to me!  I cut away the part of the frame where the bag is and drew her legs over the frame. The sentiment is stamped.

There are loads of fabulous makes from my teamies over at Catch the Bug, obviously I'm not the only one who thinks she's adorable!
