Diamond Wedding Anniverary

Good morning, this week's challenge at Fab 'n' Funky  hosted by our lovely Ginny, is to create something for a wedding or anniversary. I'm sharing the card I made for some dear friends of ours for their 60th Anniversary- it seemed appropriate to create a diamond fold card!

oops- another senior moment...

I've just remembered it's Tuesday and I made a card featuring Bugaboo's New Release image for this week, so I'm sharing it now...better late than never!

Isn't this little Halloween cat a cutie?? I made this card really quickly, colouring the image with copics and teaming it up with some lovely Doodlebug papers, the sentiment strips are cut from the papers too.

For more inspiration featuring this cute cat, hop over to Catch the Bug to view what my talented teamies have created.

Thanks for visiting,

have a pleasant evening

It's Autumn at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning, at Sweet Stampin' this week our theme is 'Autumn', a favourite of mine as the autumn colours are so beautiful. I coloured up a sweet image from All Dressed Up and popped her inside a stamped frame - the leafy vine stamp is from Lavinia Stamps (one of my most used stamps ever!)I added a bunch of die cut leaves berries and an acorn, tied with twine. Tiny stamped tag is LOTV.

Hope you're all keeping safe and well in these continuing uncertain times.

Have a good weekend

Steampunk ATCs

Good morning- and here's something completely different from me! I've never made ATCs before but wanted to play  along with the new challenge blog,  Steampunk Challenge.  I have to say I really enjoyed creating these tiny projects and I could get completely hooked, such a great way of trying out different techniques and using some of the tiny stamps that get a bit lost on a card. I do love Steampunk style too- the mixture of fantasy , time travel  and technology really appeals to my imagination. My base cards (carefully measured) were cut from a previously made experiment using brushos and texture paste. I added a bit of stencilling and stamping.
This one is my favourite- I stamped and embossed the boot, added a little colour with a bronze metallic pen and fussy cut. I stamped and fussy cut a pair of wings which you can't actually see because I stuck the feathers on top, then added them to the base. The row of  metallic hearts are actually silver, look quite dark in the photo.

For the second one I used another stamp from the same set,  stamped and embossed but left uncoloured this time. Tore the edges and sponged with distress ink. Added some cogs and a button and a tiny metal plaque that says 'why not?'The silver elements are the chain, safety pin and key charm.

These were such fun to make and I really enjoyed doing something that was, for me, a little bit different.

Jingle Bells

Good morning...errr afternoon! It's time for our September Bingo Challenge at Catch the Bug, I made a Christmas card for this featuring the gorgeous Heels- Christmas Shoe image which I love-

Using the diagonal line from the bingo grid -embossing, bugaboo image, ribbon, I made a shaped card base using white cardstock and a set of layering dies, used the same set to cut the red layer and the holly patterned DP.

The image is coloured with copics and sparkle pens, diecut into a circle with just the toe peeking over, hen adhered to card base. I added a few tiny green gems to the image for more sparkle, a stamped and embossed sentiment , a bow and the tiny bells - a perfect Christmas card for my very glamorous younger (much!) sister.

There's more to see over at Catch the Bug, and as always, great images to win, so why not play along this week.

Thanks for visiting, have a great weekend

Crafty Catz #519 - Make it sporty

Good morning, hope you've all had a good week, I'm back from my holiday a little earlier than planned- we drove back yesterday instead of today. Can't say it was the best holiday I've ever had- it was great to have a change of scene, the weather was amazing- so warm and sunny but I got fed up with having no hot water for baths and showers! It packed up on Monday- owner came out and fixed it- still no hot water- came again on Tuesday- still no hot water - came again Wednesday...you get the picture. I am NOT a fan of cold showers and do not enjoy having  to constantly phone and complain when I want to be relaxing and enjoying myself. There were several other problems with the property too- definitely won't be booking that one again! Had such a lovely long soak in the bath last night- pure bliss!

Anyway back to the card- this week at Crafty Catz we are sponsored by the amazing

Doctor Digi

the theme for the team to use is 'make it sporty' chosen by our lovely Ginny, who is hosting this week.

As always the theme is optional- anything goes at Crafty Catz!

My card features Hole in One Hal, he's coloured u with Copics and fussy cut to stand smugly surveying the golf course. Background is created with die cuts, stencilled clouds, stamped birds and I made a flag to finish.

Thanks for stopping by and a huge thank you to all of you who left comments while I was away- much appreciated!

Add a button at Fab'n' Funky

This week our Fab'n'Funky challenge is hosted by our very talented N-eva, she's chosen 'add a button' as the theme..
This is the card I made for a very dear friend, he's 86 this year although no one would believe it to look at him! He and his lovely wife still do everything for themselves even though they have family (and friends) who are more than willing to help.
The image is stamped and embossed, coloured (very quickly) with Copics, DI sponged around the edges. The button is a recycled metal one that I cut off a jacket.
Thanks for visiting, have a great day.

Puppy Power...

Good morning, this week at Sweet Stampin' our theme is 'pets'.
I'm actually quite proud of this simple card- it's not often I manage to make a one layer card that I like enough to actually send to someone but I like how this turned out! I stamped the puppy and coloured him with pencils (alcohol markers tend to bleed through to the inside of the card) masked himoff and then used a splat stencil and blue and green Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the sentiment and then added a few stencilled paw prints.
For a quick and simple card it took a silly amount of time to make!

Have a great weekend

Glitter and gems at Crafty Catz

Good morning, time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz this week we are sponsored by

Our host for this week is our lovely Christine who has chosen the theme of 'add glitter or gems' - this theme is optional as always but works beautifully with the wonderful image the team has been given to use.
My image is Fantasy Fae 15, I've used copics to colour and added tiny gems to her dress and jewellery and glitter to the bird in her hair. The image is fussy cut and placed inside the aperture cut into the embossed blue card, the background behind the image was made on the gelli plate, stamped leaves and flowers. The die cut sentiment is  Sizzix Tim Holtz.
Thanks for visiting, don't forget to pop over to Crafty Catz to see what the team have created this week, hope you can join us there!

Ho ho ho

Anything But a Card!

Hello, I hope your week has started well.
Monday is 'Anything But A Card' day at Catch the Bug.
Here's a little treat box/gift card holder that I made ready for Christmas after seeing several  similar ones on Pinterest.
The image I used is Merry Christmas Word
I have every intention of making several of these for the teen nephews and nieces.... hopefully before Christmas eve....

The gift card (or money) goes in the top bit (haven't bought any yet)
The treats go in the little box. In the interest of health and safety I will eat the treats in this one- wouldn't want them to go off before Christmas arrives ...

Don't miss this one day only sale at BUGABOO

My daughter (she's a teacher) and three eldest granddaughters all went back to school this week, so far so good, girls are happy to be back with their friends and having a more 'normal' routine.
Daughter is exhausted already!
Fingers crossed all the children and teachers stay safe and well.
