Good morning, hope your week has been a good one so far. Hallowe'en has been and gone, clocks have changed so for me it's all downhill to Christmas now! We don't celebrate on 5th November now our children have grown, in fact we can't wait for it to be over, knowing the distress it causes to so many animals. Marvin couldn't care less but previosly we have owned Great Danes, much more nervous dogs , who were traumatised, reduced to trembling wrecks during all the banging and popping that sounded like bombs going off! Hoping it's over very quickly this year as the 5th falls at the weekend and most families will probably hold their celebrations then rather than spread it out over a fortnight! Ok I'll stop whingeing now and move onto the card.
Our challenge at Fab'n' Funky starts today, hosted by our lovely Pat K who has chosen the theme 'shades of blue' - it can be for any occasion. I chose to make a Christmas card using stamps and a bauble stencil from Card-io.
There are a lovely variety of creations from the rest of the team over at Fab'n'Funky so do take a look! We hope you'll be inspired to play along .
Thanks for visiting, have a lovely day
Chris

Hi Chris, this is such a beautiful card, love the bauble stencil and the strong colour background.
I agree about bonfire night, poor dogs worry too much its not good for them at all. We always did a small get together at home with the little ones even up to last year but not sure how I will be this time round. Hope Marvin will be ok.xxx
Such a gorgeous card Chris love the bauble stencil really pretty...poor Woody has been terrible because as usual they can't wait till 5th Nov which is bad enough! they start early and he just goes beserk and for some reason he tries to climb up the back of me and get on my shoulders!! So we've been to the vet and got something that hopefully calms him down...hugs Sue xx
Fabulous card Chris, I love the bauble and the gorgeous scene you have created.

Very pretty scene in the tone on tone colours.
Also in agreement about 5th November, three of the girls are fine, terrier terrified and the horses not keen, although we are remote the noise and flying fireworks travel and it's the one day of the year we close stable top doors.

A beautiful icy winters sceneo Chris
Gorgeous card Chris. The embossed background is so pretty and I love the beautiful wintery scene. We have had dogs in the past that were very traumatized during thunderstorms and fireworks. You feel so helpless when there is nothing you can do to ease their stress. Hopefully Marvin will be ok. hugs, xx
A beautiful card , loving that image, such lovely colours and design. I have this bauble stencil gifted to me so can't wait to use it..x
Hi Chris I do love a Blue Christmas card and this is stunning. Love the stencil. As for 5th and the noisy had a sheltie that was a wreak by the end of it would try and get in cupboards and wouldnt settle no mater what we did. Spent many a night till 2am sat cuddling him. Not sure how this one will be fingers crossed.
Ooooh Chris, this is such an beauty!!

A FABulous design and so a pretty stencil too.

We'd four dogs at once and only one of them detested fireworks. It wouldn't be to bad if it was only for the one night at least you would be prepared.
