Hello Baby Boy

Good morning, once again it's time for a new challenge at Fab'n' Funky, can't believe how fast that fortnight went! I like that January is all but over and spring a little closer!

This fortnight our lovely Sue is hosting and she chose the theme of

New Beginnings.

I made a card for a baby boy- always like to have a couple of new baby cards in my stash, they usually disappear in the direction of my daughter or daughter in law who often want them for friends or colleagues.

The image is a sweet digi from LOTV, coloured with markers and fussy cut.  The background panel is embossed with tiny stars and I die cut a frame from the same card and coloured it with a blue marker. The 'BOY' was cut using my old Cricut machine (the type you put cartridges into) , The smaller letters and the train also cut from white card and coloured with same blue marker. It looked a bit boring so I added dots with a white gel pen to jazz it up a bit.

Lots of inspiration from my lovely teamies over at Fab'n' Funky  so please do hop over for a look!

Thanks for visiting

Make us smile at Crafty Catz

Good morning, time for a new challenge at
this fortnight we are sponsored by the fabulous

DR DIGI'S HOUSE OF STAMPS

The optional theme, chosen by Billie is 'Make me Smile'.
I used a brilliant sponsor image, Keep off the Grass, coloured it with my markers and stencilled some clouds. The background paper is stencilled too. The sentiment is a stamp.
Having in the past been the owner of (or should I say owned by!) Great Danes - gentle giants- but very strong and sometimes very stubborn, I know exactly how this girl feels. My dogs couldn't read either!
Hop on over to Crafty Catz for some fabulous inspiration and plenty of smiles, Remember our challenges now run for two weeks so plenty of time to join in.

Birth, wedding or anniversary at Sweet Stampin' Challenges

Good morning, today I have an anniversary card , my DT make for our new challenge at

Sweet Stampin'.

The theme for this fortnight is Birth, Wedding or Anniversary- take your pick!. I chose 'anniversary' as I don't know anyone who is getting married or having a baby!

I used mixture of Lavinia and Cardio stamps to create the wreath,  a circle mask and torn paper to create the background scene. The sentiment is a stamp too. I've added some sparkle to the wings and hearts using a Gelly Roll pen.

Please hop over to Sweet Stampin' for some lovely inspiration from the rest of the team, then please do join in, the more the merrier!

Thanks for visiting today and for all your lovely comments this week, much appreciated!

Have a good weekend

Chris

Stamp it!

Good morning, our first challenge of the year starts today over at
The very easy theme this fortnight is 'Stamp it', we want to see something stamped on the front of your card/project- 'real' stamps or digis are both acceptable...or use both if you wish!

I used a large background stamp from Uniko, stamped it onto white cardstock using versamark ink and embossed with white EP. I sponged shades of blue distress ink over the top and buffed it up with a cloth to let the white shine through. I stamped and fussy cut the not-too-happy Crazy bird and the balloons, added a die cut string tucked under his wing (he'd be even less happy if he lost his balloon!).

Please hop over to Fab'n' Funky to see what my lovely team have created to inspire you- hope to see you there!

The background paper is another piece of white cardstock stencilled using yellow and green Distress Inks, my favourite spring colours.

A January Mood Board

Good morning, our January Challenge at Stamping Sensations has a lovely mood board to inspire you, some beautiful images and colours to get your creative juices flowing.

I was inspired by the jewel- encrusted butterfly to create this card.
I used a very old stamp set that has lost it's packaging so I can't tell you the make. I stamped and embossed the butterfly in silver, then did the same with the sentiment. I coloured the butterfly red and then stuck tiny red and clear gems on the trail. If you think you've seen it before it's because I made a very similar one in different colours years ago!

Our sponsor for this month is AALL & CREATE

For more inspiration please hop over to Stamping Sensations to see what the rest of ladies have created.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2024 is off to good start for you...and continues that way!

Christmas went by in a bit of a blur here, we spent Christmas day with son and daughter, their partners and all my gorgeous granddaughters, such a happy day. Unfortunately I was still experiencing lingering effects of the Covid- no energy at all and no appetite! At least I didn't put on any weight, so every cloud. Beginning to have a bit more energy, thank goodness....but still no appetite yet.

This card is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme for this fortnight is 'New', my 'new' is the stamp (Gothic Fairy -The Card Hut). I coloured the fairy with my markers added some stencilling and a stamped sentiment.

While I'm here I'd like to say a big thank you for all the beautiful Christmas cards I received, I'm not sure if I've thanked everyone personally, as I said I was living in a bit of a blur.... but I love them all and they were very much admired by friends and family.

Please check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the Sweeties over at the Sweet Stampin' - we'd love to have you join us for our first challenge of the new year.

Thanks for visiting

I'll be back later today with another DT make.

Chris
